FYI, that's the date they joined the forum, not the date they started the game, for whatever it's worth.

Most of the time it does coincide or very near as when the forum they join the game.

Except no not really. Forum users are not the majority of the players and I've seen older posts from players who've joined just to state their piece on a topic, then never use the forums again. You wouldn't be any wiser to a player from 1.0 if they joined next week unless they told you.

I've been a player since 2014, but I joined the forums much later. Also the character I started with on 2014 is not the character that's being displayed on my forum character, this specific character was made in 2016, so no need to 'achievement search' stalk me on lodestone.

Anyway I wasn't really using forums much back then, mostly did google searches if I had some questions or issues.

You only see what people here chose to show you. This isn't my only character, so hunting me down on lodestone gives you the face and levels I want you to see. I'm sorry, your logic falls short when people can pick and chose what they present. Especially since you can't use a custom avatar.
