Basically you kill enemies and side spawn and turris monster fates those fates give Tomestones and lock boxes related to the Eureka instance that you're in, Lock boxes will contain a materia fireworks glamor gear and a small chance of Minions. The Bunny fates that people talk about can get you bronze silver or gold treasure chests that will contain memes for logograms materia and a small chance it for the gold ones of a mount along with glamor items and etc. Those fates also drop items that you need to get a relic weapon and to upgrade your relic weapons that can be obtained from Eureka. By completing the quests inside the instance you can get the story line behind the entire Eureka area. You also get upgraded gear to I believe as well. Must have items know it's got good items that are a little belief you stick it out and do the stuff but you can get must have just by doing Omega. That's pretty much it in a nutshell you might say.

Which the relic isn't and, apparently never was, when looking at the fraction of the playerbase who actually owns past relic. You mistake "non-raiders" for "casuals".
The "casual" weapon you're looking for is the tome weapon.

Y: I usually compare FFXIV with a theme park, but the Forbidden Land of Eureka won’t be a place where everyone would want to go. For example, there are people who don’t want to go to horror houses because they don’t see the point in getting scared on purpose. For example, on a date, the boyfriend might want to invite the girlfriend to go the horror house, but the girlfriend just doesn’t seem to find it fun. In other words, it’s not like everyone wants to go to the horror house, but there are people who just love the adrenalin rush they get from it. Think of Eureka as something like that.

I personally hate the content. If I wanted to play EQ, I would be back playing EQ. It's been hard not to get my relic, but the only thing I could do is help affect their numbers by not participating.
If it was literally a prettified FF spin on EQ, I think that I would like it better. The big problem for me is that it's a poor version of EQ that doesn't even do overworld mob grinding right, given the forced grouping, necessity to do the choresome logs instead of just killing level-appropriate mobs, etc. To compare to the deep dungeons again, PotD was a fairly well-realised version of the content it was borrowing from, whereas Eureka is more akin to HoH in that it takes a solid, if outdated, concept and manages to completely foul it up. If not for the continued strength of the MSQ and the dungeons (which I don't like, but they are generally well put together) I would begin to harbour serious doubts about this dev team having lost its way, given how Eureka, BLU, HoH, and Squadrons have all turned out. I'm hoping that with 5.0 they manage to get back to releasing experiments that actually work. If they can't do that, then it probably would be better for them to just keep pumping out more of the same.

There's a tome weapon you don't have to raid for?

well actually its based on FF11.

also, killing level appropriate monsters is the fastest way to level, by far. Level appropriate depends on the size of your group.

solo: equal or one level less
    duo: 1-2 ;vels higher
    3-4players 1-3 levels higher

5 or more, 3-5 levels higher

solo is pretty rough exp. duo is a bit slow, but with duo, and fates, you are fine. 3-5 levels higher is very good exp, and can probably beat most fates, unless they spawn often.

yes, it is designed to be most effecient with groups, but it does scale fairly well with smaller groups. I did the entire thing with mostly 2-4 players. Its pretty rough solo, but they wanted people to be encouraged to group up for this content, even if its only small groups.

and yes there is a tome weapon you dont have to raid for.
you get scaeven for tomes, and you can upgrade it to 400 with 24 man tokens.

When we talk about "raiders", we talk about people who do savage raid. You don't have to savage raid for the tome weapon.

My only beef is with pagos, anemos was inoffensive if bland, and pyros was fun, I haven't gotten to hydatos yet but looks intriguing. I also rather the relic weapon be done this way as I HATE that you need crafted materials for the old relics that were crazy expensive.

You can't party up with a party that has someone that's 2 level higher than you or more (not against NMs though). That will kill your EXP heavily, especially since you were with a party that had a level 20. It took a lot of people less than 3 days to complete Anemos and obtain the relic and gear for their job and that's with a casual play style on release day and that's even before the challenge log existed and all the nerfs it has now. If you're taking that long, you should realize that you're doing something wrong somewhere.

An elemental level sync would help enormously at this point for keeping the content active and helping newbies to join the fray. A group of us (mostly elvl 60) went in to help a friend who was elvl 8 and didn't know what to do to progress. We dragged her around spawning NMs until she hit 13 and we were able to do her challenge log. If we'd just been able to sync to 8 with her, we could've all been killing mobs together for her challenge log and doing NMs as they spawned and it would've been a smoother experience overall. Why does Eureka feel like it works to actively prevent party play with friends of varying elvls? It feels needlessly punishing to people who start late.
