Is anyone switching mains from dps to tank because of gunbreaker?

I don't plan on maining GBR to begin with, but I am considering going as PLD or DRK (depending on rework) or a healer through the expac. I've always mained Bard previously, but I got so used to lovely instant queues from tanks and healers... I look back at Sirensong from patch week of SB and nah, not doing that again.

I think it's a little bit too early for people to be deciding on swapping mains for the expansion.

I mean, a main should be a class you find fun to play, rather than one that you just like the aesthetics of their weapon.

So, it would make sense to you know... Actually see some skills of the class first?

Let alone how all classes will be affected by ShB as a whole, from things like the TP removal, new skills, potential reworks (Given the button bloat currently as well as the changes coming to Role Actions).

To say nothing about actual balance. You're not going to wanna main Gunbreaker if its power level is 2.0 WAR level for example.

Like, at best, you may be able to opt for a role swap at this point, but it'd be odd if that was influenced by Gunbreaker at this stage (Especially when DRK and PLD are likely to get some significant design changes due to the new systems with ShB - I.e. TP removal).

I main PLD so, it depends on the PLD reworks and in how cool and useful they make GUN to make me think about switching my main and starter job.

I won't be abandoning any of my mains but I expect I'll be adding a new one. I always wanted to have 1 main in each role but none of the existing tanks appealed to me aesthetically and thematically so I've never had a good reason to pick up a tank until now. With GUN, I'm hoping to add tanking to my repertoire, and hopefully work on getting decent at it.

I'm not interested in GUN but depending on how the rumored rework pans out my DRK may switch from "being there to help out the FC" to main.

Nope. DPS main, staying dps main.

Probably not. I have a Raid-main, a casual-main, and a tank-main, so its only really competing with DRK for tank-main and that will be a pretty hard thing to do unless GUN has a really neat playstyle.

Sadly yes... I love FF Gunblades as a weapon... hate tanking tho. I really wish it was a DPS.

probably easier if they break DRK when getting rid of TP.
