Yeah but, Which flowered crown would they get?

I wouldn't mind, I feel they could have fun with it (different race that has no gender would have a very different culture). If they ever go "Allied Races" (clans?) mode (add a bunch of races for the heck of it like WoW did), they'd obviously need to find a way to make these things cost effective though. I imagine many of the races using very similar skeletons and animations would help a lot. Like a Vivi race using lalafell animation/structure. Quina would probably be a fatter yet slightly shorter Roe.
The gendered issue could be solved by a flag you choose, masculine / feminine. This would choose items as well. If it's easy they could add greater detail to the fact they're not actually gendered but that may take too much work (many many errors all over the place if not edited from start to end).

I love the idea.
Though I'm nonbinary so I'm biased, ha ha. Would be cool to have a race that can wear all of the clothes and have a greater range of hairstyles.
It'd be complicated in terms of what genderlocked gear sets they can/can't wear, and personally, I don't have much interest in the idea. I wouldn't mind some more androgynous glamour/hairstyle options for the male and female characters we have as-is, though- That would probably satisfy a similar desire to some degree.
Honestly, in many ways, lalafell are pretty close. Oh, there is definitely a male/female divide in game but their models are identical except for hairstyles.

That's specifically referring to child Viera though. It's possible - likely, even - that they become more obviously gendered once they reach puberty, when it becomes evident that they are male.
Gnath definitely have genders - most of the Vath seem to be male, but there was at least one referred to with female pronouns.
Not sure where you're getting the specific "queen" from though - except perhaps the natural comparison to an ant colony. They are collectively ruled by and connected to the Overmind, which is a rather nebulous concept in-game, but the lorebook indicates that it is an individual, and describes it as "king-like". Though there's a possibility of gender getting lost in translation if it was originally a gender-neutral term like "monarch".
The Overmind does seem to be in thrall to Ravana though.
For NPCs, you can also tell them apart by names. All four clan/gender combinations have distinct naming patterns.
Not directed at you, but this is why the devs can't satisfy everybody. Other posters have complained in the past that there are too many androgynous hairstyles! It'd be complicated in terms of what genderlocked gear sets they can/can't wear, and personally, I don't have much interest in the idea. Why not just a generally attractive race with little dimorphism? Saves the cans of worms in both community and code.
A non-binary race would be interesting, but ultimately - I don't see it happening.
