    I believe they already stated the reason you couldn't stack materia was due to the fact materia has tiers within tiers, i.e Strength + 10, then Strength + 9 which is still a Strength III tier materia.

    So they're essentially different items.

    Can we please put to rest the responses about you cannot stack tiers cause of sub-tiers. This has been addressed on thread and was addressed on my old thread.
