Will we be seeing more tiers of AF gear?

Will we be getting more gear that is job specific? I hope there is a wide variety for customization. I would prefer to look like Lalai from the blm quest. a more traditional black mage outfit i like.

I don't think they'll be making more AF anytime soon (although it may be a possibility in the future). What is more likely are small 'pieces' that are for specific jobs, but aren't an 'official' AF set.

Example (these are the ones I instantly think of from XI): Lvl 40 pink/grey plate body armor for WHM, Noble's set (with the best being, of course, the Noble's tunic)... Austere set for SMN... The shaman gear for BLM in XI... it came out with CoP, and the best piece was the body one. There was also a BST specific set at that time, too. I'm sure there are more... it's just that the mage ones instantly come to mind.

As these pieces of gear became available, people started switching out their AF and using them. (Even AFv2 would not compare to some of these pieces of job-specific gear)

Upgradable AF Armor and AF Weapons through quest trials will be good. Change its appearance and maybe its name too as it upgrades.

edit: it would save inventory space!

I'm not so much concerned about AF, more sets of equipment in general.

The current armour we have is a mish mash of different pieces which don't have any specific set.

Dev team need to start making gear as a set and add set bonuses as well.
