It kinda makes sense though to have something to do with squadroms, as we're in pretty high ranks now and it makes sense for us to be commanding forces. It would seem odd to me if we left that aspect behind to do something else to promote unless it was also leadership related.
I'd have thought a Command mission would have made some more sense. What with then showing that we can lead our forces in the field too. Not to mention the whole Trust system they're bringing in that seems to be just Squadrons but with characters you actually know of.

Rather than just sending them off to go do their thing and being promoted because of that. To say nothing about other tasks that would have made sense, such as when we did that Grand Company Melee thing in Ishgard. Or when we went through the Ghimlyt Dark alongside the Grand Company forces (Though we were sent with the Doman squad to make them feel safer).

At what point does our squadron start to reflect more on their own performance than ours
