I play when I'm sick because it takes my mind off of being sick for a little bit but I'd never queue for harder content when that happens I just run around going levelling or something that isnt going to take away others experience. OR hit MSQ Roulette and hit up the two unskippables at this point you could be dying of sepsis and still not screw up the dps rotation.( I wont heal or tank when I'm sick I respect my fellow gamers too much for that debacle. )
I had another run where my co-healer was AFK. They were doing so little in contribution, that when they got hit by an AOE, they wouldn’t even heal themselves, and then died to the next mechanic while I was trying to heal the party. When I asked them if they were going to help heal (after their 4th death during Agrias because they, once again, did not heal themselves and the party had 3 stacks of vuln because we were sucked into the portal with the ghosts and they weren’t killing them before they hit the flames), I was told to “stop being mean” because “maybe they weren’t feeling well” by one of their friends in the party. They left after we wiped to TGC because we hit enrage during the adds. They died 5 times before that...
Like, if they didn’t want to DPS, I don’t agree with it, but I never say anything about it in content like Orbonne. It’s whatever. I don’t like it, but I’ll bite my tongue. But the fact that they were doing literally nothing—not even healing themselves when they would take damage—told me that they were just not even wanting to contribute. They weren’t new. They weren’t a fresh level 70 AST. I was just like... I don’t understand it. And I don’t understand people that defend one healer doing nothing and forcing the other healer to do all the work.
If you aren’t feeling well, why are you queuing for content? Why aren’t you in bed resting? That’s what I’d be doing.
You are talking about Hallowed Bolt, the poster was talking about the triangle shaped "Flare" marker that appears on one player during Ultima after the entire raid has to run through the maze and stand in the tiny circle in front of her for the DPS check. Whoever get the marker is supposed to run it out of the circle away from the rest of the raid... but I have also seen this happen, where that player doesn't run out and ends up wiping half the raid. More often than not it's still possible to get through the check because that mechanic occurs towards the end anyway... but I have seen the check fail. I've also seen wipes occur shortly after that too because so many ppl are dead on the floor.Am I missing something in Cid's add phase? My thought was that each group needed to keep their AOE by them, at the wall, so each party only has one in/out to do. Invariably, however, both (or one) other alliance(s) run at the middle or to another group (us), removing our safe space.
I just can't get anybody else to answer, either, it's always "who cares?"
While they obviously needed upgrading, from memory the Lv32 dungeon gear does remain "best option" up until the early 40s. So while they were out of date, those parts weren't quite as out of date as they seem... so long as they were the tank pieces and not the DPS pieces, which sounds entirely possible. (Probably another victim of the "recommended gear" that isn't.)Next party run put me in Garuda normal. Party comp was PLD, DRG, BLM, and me on WHM. I realize the pld tank's max hp is awful low for this level...and then realize they were wearing lvl 41 leather pieces here and there, lvl 32 dungeon head and hands, everything else on the right is below lvl 31.
???
But...a one-shot means hp will hit 0...how bene supposed to help there if theres not even 1hp left to recover???
Oooh that made my head hurt.
Healing DRK is literally... the same since ShB. The reason why people think it's a meme to heal nowadays because DRK receives very little to no buff to their sustainability vs 3 other tanks getting something useful. If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.
Here is a positive story for the day.
Yesterday I had the best Run I ever had through Rabanastre during my alliance raid roullette. And by that I mean we absolutely mowed down each and every boss beside Rofocale surprisingly fast
And the best part about that is,almost every alliance had two summoners and bards(me as SMN and another in Alliance C,two SMNs in A and one in B iirc)
Each boss was filled to tbe brim with dots and their HP was going down so fast to the point that on Hashmal,we forced him to bring the command tower before he even did his first half-room dive bomb and we killed him at the end before his submission towers cast even finish. And poor Argath,we killed him so fast we almost skipped most of the second half of the fight xD
It went by so fast I thought we were doing a speedrun.Boy I wish all of my rabanastre runs were those good xD
Either we were in the same raid or its speedrun Rabanastre day because I was healing one and the bosses went down almost as fast as trash. It was beautiful. Here is a positive story for the day.

Before the echo buff, their max hp was just over 400 of my healer's max hp. While they were luckily wearing the 32 Calvary head and hand pieces, they were mostly using disciple of war leather gear for the rest of the left, which made my inner tank cringe. While they obviously needed upgrading, from memory the Lv32 dungeon gear does remain "best option" up until the early 40s. Me and 5 others of my static went into Orbonne yesterday after raid, except with a twist:
Our DRK and SMN went in as AST and SCH respectively. Both just barely had the minimum ilevel required, and neither really plays a healer that much. We labeled it the "prepare to die" edition.
Sure, it wasn't the most successful run ever, but we had fun and cleared everything, and I finally got my tank gloves.![]()
Just finished my first Orbonne of the week(been on other games and haven't touched FF in almost a week...). When it popped, it was 39min in progress. Thought it would be at Thunder God, and that it would be half empty....NOPE! They were almost done killing the last boss(I was literally in there for 2minutes...and that included the rolling on loot!). Sadly, I didn't get any loot, so I get to try again.
