No need to make them mandatory like the Ixal gloves, just hand them out at the start so we can wear them at a point when it's appropriate.

Even if we could buy them once we got to the end of the questline, it would be "too late" for me and I probably wouldn't ever wear them. But wearing Namazu Festival gear while doing work for the Namazu Festival? Yes please, I would like my free happi coat and headband that everyone is expected to wear. I can even make them myself if you give me the materials.

They actually could've done something like what they did with the worn out clothes you need to wear at various points in the MSQ. Equip it, or an equivalent glamour, before you can accept the quest. You discarded it or misplaced it? Suigetsu mutters about being used to his brethren being so clumsy as to do it, but he expected better from you... but he has a surplus of spares either way so here you go.

Those quests are one-time only, don't require gear stats to progress for the step that requires the clothes and give them out on the spot at the moment you need them for a single use.

I've done thousands of Ixali, Moogle and Namazu quests, and as much as Ixali are "fun" the first time around, they are absolute nightmare to do past the first few times. Even though you CAN buy the gloves for 600 gil from the NPC near the quest givers at any time.


As for Iscah...don't compare standard glamour reward (which you claim to want) to anything but glamour reward that is a mechanical part equivalent of what you are suggesting something for if you don't want them to be compared based on the mechanics. That's the most reasonable way to compare them with what context you gave.

I really can't follow that sentence, but if you're saying I shouldn't compare mandatory Ixal gloves to (hypothetical) gameplay-optional-but-theoretically-mandatory Namazu gear.... it's quest-related gear to be given out at the start of the questline and worn during it. That doesn't seem like a terrible comparison to make, even if I could have been clearer about it not being mandatory.
