So, we've got the Vanu outfit, Gnarth outfit, Turtle outfit... each one fit a certain race more properly than other... (Vanu to Roes, Gnarth with Midlanders and Turtles for Highlanders)

Why we don't have access for a Namazu outfit for lalafells?!
It would fit perfectly and we could fill the world with Namazu's love!

I don't want to look like a Namazu so much as I want their happis and headbands. I was really, really hoping for those as quest rewards.

It would have made sense if we got the "festival gear" right at the start of the questline - kind of like the Ixal crafting gloves are required for their quests. All the Namazu need to dress up in it instead of their usual apron, so why don't we?

Still save the bell-necklace for the final gift, of course.


(I wanted to dress up for it so I made do with the Yanxian haori and Amatsu headband, but it doesn't really look right.)

Because it was incredibly irritating as an actual game mechanic that actually punished natural game progression to a certain point to boot.

Could they have given them?! Yes. As mandatory crap to wear during their quests?! No way!

No need to make them mandatory like the Ixal gloves, just hand them out at the start so we can wear them at a point when it's appropriate.

They actually could've done something like what they did with the worn out clothes you need to wear at various points in the MSQ. Equip it, or an equivalent glamour, before you can accept the quest. You discarded it or misplaced it? Suigetsu mutters about being used to his brethren being so clumsy as to do it, but he expected better from you... but he has a surplus of spares either way so here you go.

Those quests are one-time only, don't require gear stats to progress for the step that requires the clothes and give them out on the spot at the moment you need them for a single use.

I've done thousands of Ixali, Moogle and Namazu quests, and as much as Ixali are "fun" the first time around, they are absolute nightmare to do past the first few times. Even though you CAN buy the gloves for 600 gil from the NPC near the quest givers at any time.


As for Iscah...don't compare standard glamour reward (which you claim to want) to anything but glamour reward that is a mechanical part equivalent of what you are suggesting something for if you don't want them to be compared based on the mechanics. That's the most reasonable way to compare them with what context you gave.
