All of it would get complaints unless there were lore grounds as to why alternative genders don't exist at all.

For example, asexual reproduction could be a reason why a particular race is single "Gender". Or alternative means of reproduction (Such as Mass Effect's Asari which can reproduce with any gender of any race).

Viera has the fact that males exist established. Whether they're "Rare to see" or not doesn't matter. They exist and thus there's a likelyhood that some can go against societal norms and start adventuring.

If male Viera had not been confirmed to exist, or been confirmed to NOT exist then it'd be a different matter and likely would be less complaints about Viera being a potential Female-only race (With complaints likely moving over towards arguments surrounding a suitable Male-only race to counterbalance them)
TL;DR: If males and females exist in a playable race, both must be playable as well?

If the lore doesn't support male Viera being adventurers, it doesn't, and whether or not there's a strong enough argument for male Viera adventurers is up to the developers to decide. Unfortunately, this isn't a tabletop game where you can haggle with the GM to make your special snowflake fit into the story. (Or: "Hey, DM, can I play a red half-dragon after we finish this module?")

Honestly, I don't see them not introducing playable male Viera... but I don't care about the introduction of Viera at all, so whatever.

Now I'm going to go cry in a corner because my efforts to get Moriarty, one of only 3 characters I genuinely want in F/GO, have been for naught... so far....
