Baldesion arsenal - how to do it if you have no friends who runs Eureka...?

Can't get carried when you can't even get in the dungeon...not that I asked for the former. I simply seek the latter in a time frame that doesn't require 3-4 hours or more. No, I don't expect nor want 15 mins clears of the entire thing...we have enough of that with the regular 4 man dungeons. I don't mind spending a hour or two in BA. It's the silliness that is instance hopping and hoping for a clean instance when there's all sorts of ways such a thing could be dealt with by the devs...but it won't happen any time soon.

The arsenal parties in the Discord don’t want to wait either. But we do it anyways to be respectful to other premades that got into an instance first—the Discord has strict rules about which arsenal gets an instance, and that other arsenals are not allowed to just steal it from them or fight over it. We have to play The Waiting Game, too. As alimdia said: what gives you more right to bypass the waiting part and screw over another group when they did their time and waited if they had to?

I’ll agree that the instance hopping is dumb and that something needs to be done about it for premades groups, but unless they do something about it, it’s what we all have to deal with—I’ve been in groups that get a fresh instance on the first try and ones where we spent 3~4 hours trying to get one when a lot of groups are doing Ozma clears. It happens. It’s frustrating, but you deal with it and move on. And this is coming from someone who only has time to do BA on the weekends because I have classes during the week.

If you want to clear, you can join the Discord at any point. They are more than welcoming—they pass out the link whenever anyone asks for it. They can take you from Fragment runs to Ozma clears if you are willing to work with them. You just have to be willing to do it.

You say report them, but you should probably specify this is to the discord channels admins.
Taking a portal isn’t against any SE rules, they’ve even clarified that assuring it so.

Just grab a portal if there's a premade, pretty much, unless you want to wait 2+ hours to get in.

You potentially take a tank or healer spot, thus getting your group killed early on, so you don't even get to play. What do you achieve besides shooting yourself in the foot?

I've come to the realization it's simply too many eggs trying to be put in baskets on the weekend. When there's 6+ squads trying to get in and the game only seems to have 3 instances up, this is going to happen.

I'm posting here and quick synthing submarine part mats while waiting and it's already been 30 minutes. Sure, I got to position 1 for tank and dps, but now a buddy logs on wanting to do Pyros. I like my friends, so out of the queue I go.

If I wanted to go back to old school LFG nonsense, I'd be subbing to Classic WoW when it comes out. But I've been there, done that, and simply do not have the patience for that sort of nonsense any more. This isn't meant as a jab at the folks who are trying to make due with what they can to organize this. It's simply a shame that players are having to pick up the slack caused by a lack of developer foresight.

For anyone else wanting to (rightfully) rib me over that statement: I was absolutely seething yesterday over the absurdity of how ridiculous it is to get an organized group into BA and that sort of snide remark (by me) is the result of such anger. I haven't once "portal sniped", although much like "early pullers" of hunts, there's really no such thing, unless the person who took a portal goes in there and just afks or something.

As for the other player who implied that "People who take portals are devoid of empathy". Not cool. As if you guys aren't the rude ones coming in with full premades and claiming "reserved". You give players in the instance 0 reason to cooperate with you other than sticks (IE "blacklisting", bullying, harassing) as the portals are supposed to be the reward in and out of themselves.

You guys aren't owed anything. You're the ones who decided to clump up in Discord to a point where finding an instance for a premade can take 5 hours. You don't get to have "priority", because you waited on some third party service pounding the instance system.

People can blacklist you and kick you out of hunt linkshells for early pulling hunts and it's totally fine by SE. You're upset because you got kicked out of discord, which SE has no relation to? You need to check yo self.

I won’t speak for everyone, but there’s plenty of people in runs that I’ve been in who don’t say anything when people snipe portals or shout abuse towards premades for being “inconsiderate elitists” (among other things). Even when people try to snipe Ozma clears instead of fragment runs. There may be a few vocal players that engage despite us actively telling them not to engage in the bickering, but it’s not a majority in my experience. The other side certainly isn’t as innocent as you’re insinuating.

That being said, I’ve never said anyone to people who have attempted to snipe. Even those that sniped the support portals on my Ozma prog runs and then immediately left the instance. But, then again, I rarely choose to engage in chat in-game. There have been times in the past where I have called out people making mistakes in other higher end content. But I generally don’t say much.

I agree that it can be pretty frustrating during prime times trying to get into an instance when you have so many arsenal groups queuing up. It can be the same at early morning because not a lot of people queue so we’ve had to ask for bodies to fill an old instance to try and spawn a new one (and that doesn’t always work because the new one locks the minute the old one starts to lose people). I’ve gotten plenty frustrated myself, so I understand your frustration. I try to find other things to occupy myself while queue hopping, even though it doesn’t always help when I’m feeling impatient to get into BA.

I agree that there needs to be a better way to get fully made groups into BA easier. I’d really like a way to set up a BA PF so you could queue in with all 6/7 parties at once. I’m hoping since even JP also dislikes the organization of BA that the developers will listen to any feedback they may have provided and try to come up with a solution to mitigate some of the issues. I don’t particularly mind the organization concept of it - the Discord recruitment doesn’t bother me, and I’ve actually met some cool people to talk with during the lulls; I just wish said organization was easier to execute in-game when you get ready to actually go in to Hydatos.

I saw your deleted Reddit post where you admit you take portals out of spite, so forgive me if I take everything you're saying here with a grain of salt. But as someone replied to you there, you should know that there's no realistic way to clear BA with parties formed within the instance,Discord was just the attempt to solve the problem of how terrible BA entrance was designed, so why ruin the only shot at clearing the content just because you don't like how they are organizing it? Complain to SE to change things instead of griefing the people who are trying to make it work, or propose a better solution.

Dude this is not about who has or has no rights. If you're entering BA is because you want to clear, but you can't clear without an organized group, sniping a portal doesn't help you or anyone else to clear the dungeon.

Why don't you try to form a party within the instance before complaining about the discord? It's the best way to see why the community ended up having to organize runs.
