Are you forgetting the thousands of people who technically already have done it by getting to 50 in the first place? The market already is flooded.
but what im saying is people who only did it to get to 50 wont be reflooding it with even more
only the serious people will(which is small in comparison) to those who are 50

The achievement is to gather/create items from now on, not from before to now - so no, no one has forgotten anything.
No, the market on my server is not flooded yet since I can not afford alot of things on the market right now which I need to lvl my goldsmithing.
Gathering 1000 nodes at Grade 3 La Noscea netted me about 1000 walnut logs, 750 of those went into my tier III Carpentry achievement. The rest went to linkshell crafters (Some of whom are also working on the achievements). All other gathered items were NPC'ed to make room for the walnut lumber that would be created by my crafting. The final walnut lumbers were all NPCed to make room for the next achievements.
I've sold many materias (my retainers are full of materia) but the majority are going to linkshell members.
It's hard to "flood" a market with a demand that is this cavernous.
Now that this thread has been take over by the same 3 or 4 people patting each other on the back for grinding an obviously flawed game mechanic, could anyone from SE give a response to this as to why it was made this way? There's a vocal majority here that feels this was a bad choice, and we'd like to hear SE's reasoning for this - if there is one, or if there are any plans to give those who already earned their level 50s a head start on these achievements or, much like the DoM/W classes' equivalent - allow the achievement to already kick in.

lets look at 1 important fact in the end
we all have an equal chance to go for it, no ones going to get it ahead of you if you in any sense of unfairness, from this point on we are all equals in earning it
now go get it! your wasting time :P

Why would you do that, you only get half the xp.
I really want to get the gathering achievements, as I consider myself a career gatherer. But I'm afraid that after I finally scrape my way to the gold tools, I'll be so sick of gathering I'll never want to do it again.
you should have so many materials by then youll have to figure out how to get rid of them all though so problem solved?
