P.S. Sorry for the multi-posts. Mobile
Thank you! All really useful things to implement in my (slowly evolving) play style. I think I‘ll attempt to look for a group on party finder who are equally challenged by it but want to improve... or people who have the patience to practice the end boss with me. Oof why am I so maso sometimes... just can‘t let this be haha I HAVE to master it. And yes... that part with the 2x knights marching through, chain and AOE spam is where shit hits the fan... always... and when I lose my head multitasking this it‘s all over.

Comes down to the group really. I am by no means a Pro healer and have healed that dungeon multiple times. Sorry to hear about your bad experience.
Best to find a pre-formed group i would think.

This actually makes me feel worse xD Happy for you though. Yes considering asking my guildies to do duty roulette with me until I‘m more proficient at WHM.

sorry you had a bad experience with your subsequent runs.
back when I was leveling in HW through The Vault I prefer to use SCH myself so that I can leave Eos near the tank and focus on spot heals with the others who probably panicked as I did whenever we get chains or once the knights show up.
as WHM I find constant regen easier to manage so that I can also move around, then med II before aoes. but that duty is really a challenge. you'll get your revenge soon when you can finally solo it at 70 xD
    good luck!

Nice to know that Ser Charibert is still making healers scream years later, but no he is always been and will always be nightmare to deal with. But here's the thing with the Vault endboss, if you as a healer successfully healed the rest of the dungeon with little to no problems then most likely you are not fully at wrong. With chains, aoes, and horses coming in close together it requires not just YOU to do the mechanics but also the dps and the tank. Keep this in mind, after the dps check you can take as long as you want with Ser Charibert. If you prioritize the tank and yourself... well it might take awhile but the boss will just keep tossing out repeatable mechanics. So don't think that just because both dps are down that you gotta panic and quickly get them back up after that dps check. Just breathe and wait until you have regenerated some mp before rezing.

Also the easiest way imo to beat the boss is honestly having everyone being on the bosses butt. Aoe circles go out move out of the massive no no circle. Chains come out, both partners have ample room to around the small arena. Horses come out? Locate where the nearest safe spot, wait for aoe circles then move to break chains while slipping through the safe hole and run behind the wall of uh oh horses until chains break. If stacked together you shouldn't have to run far to break the chains as a bonus. You then just stack back up on the boss and repeat mechanics. The issue with this strategy is if someone stands in the aoe circle of no no, they will die. So it demands people to be able to dodge in this game. Which with randos... is sometimes too much to ask for.

Ok look. Here's a time honored and important healer mantra: You can't heal stupid. And vault punishes stupidity a lot.

It's good to seek to improve, but you can't shoulder responsibility for others' failures. But a tip to try to make up for it: If you get the chain on the last boss and the connected DPS doesn't move, just spam heals on yourself. The chain will break when the DPS dies, and then you can rez them and continue the fight. As a more general tip, just make sure to keep your camera positioned so you see the marches coming.

Don't give up healing, and don't be discouraged, your attitude towards improvement is a massive fresh of fresh air from what I normally see on the forums. Keep it up

The thing is that I was clumsy as well. I think only the tank knew 100% what he was doing there (last man standing, always).
Anyway, will take the positioning advice to heart, thanks to everyone who posted^^

Yeah sorry it was not mean't to discourage you as i will more or less only heal with friends or FC members because i just do not feel good enough to heal randoms, friends understand this.
My first time tanking that place with 2 friends and a a healer complained on how undergeared i was and went on and on. A FC healer came in instead and had no issues healing me

I can kind of understand that healer even if I wouldn´t bitch like he/she did. More like, panic inside^^ Most of my fails were because of oom or one dodging mistake - whenever I saved mana by not healing myself up ofc.

Well I never bitch about anyone´s gear even if I know it got to be bad... inside it still annoys me when I run out of mana twice with proper use of Lucid Dreaming & Ethers, said LD is on cooldown and none of the other players can or will help me recover MP... this only happens whenever the whole party loses tons of HP during the fight.

When I had to run Antitower for MSQ yesterday I had to rub my eyes... No one but the other sproutling lost more than 15% of their HP, ever. First time I saw this happen. Was a chill run with lots of healer DPS^^" Turned out they were friends queuing together and helping one of their newbies.

Anyways, the next healer check (and according to wiki it got a DPS and tank check too, oof) is up, Final Steps of Faith. I will need faith... in myself and my comrades x)
