Gender locked race?

If the order of races in the french leaks were of importance, it could indicate that the initial intent was to have female viera and male Hrothgar, and that they have changed course and are just giving male viera and no hrothgar (either permanently only for the time being).

That being said, outside of leaks, there are no real noticeable mention of the race in any aspect from both devs and in game until extremely recently, and even then the addition of their mention is in such a way that most players would not even notice them. For practical purposes, it would be strange to unveil them as the counterpart for female viera cause it would seem to come out of left field to much. Maybe we'll get both. That would be ideal, but it seems more plausible at this time to get male Viera and no mention of Hrothgar at this time.

I don't think we can place any importance on the order that they were placed in the list of races. Like no one knows how they code so there's no way to tell. If you're going to completely ignore all of the leaks and minimize the fact that two separate screenshots were found mentioning Hrothgar, then sure, Hrothgar doesn't seem to be coming. But I on the other hand am going to put my faith in what those screenshots have shown and in the Blufever leaks that have been pretty accurate so far, as well as the interview that Yoshida gave. I don't really see how it's MORE plausible that Hrothgar won't be coming, but you keep your hopes up.
