Yeah, it will be like Diadem where our combat classes/jobs are synced to level, besides. We'll be synced to level 70, i310 or 300 (I forgot which), and only eLV will remain, with little to no population, no features from XI that made XI tolerable or good, and the continued dissonance between XI-style beefiness of monsters versus XIV's combat style. Being 80 outside of Eureka isn't going to do shit.

Worst case scenario: It’s abandoned like Diadem was. (And a lot of people here are predicting that it seems likely to be just that: Abandoned) This means we’ll still be whatever E.Level the highest is allowed based on what section of Eureka you’re doing, along with item level synch.
Good case scenario: They do away with item level restrictions, allow you level up to E.Level 80, and also do away with E.Level sync on NMs. That alone will make things easier.
Hopeful Dream case: They also lower the required materials and light needed to get the weapons and armor.
Bonus Points: Allow us to bring Squadron and Trust members in.
I mean... one can hope they ease up on things after Eureka becomes obsolete content, but looking back at Diadem, I wouldn’t get our hopes up too high. I mean, I’m still waiting for another light nerf to Pagos, and that hasn’t happened, soooo... >_>
I’m prepared for the worst myself. It’s why I’m trying to get as many weapons done as I can while the content is still fairly relevant. I can go back and do the Heavenward relics any time I want. Eureka weapons are a different matter.

the devs have abandoned countless content before, so they will most likely just abandon eureka too. If we're lucky they'll just put some of the minions/glam items into the lockboxes of the next deep dungeon

Already having trouble finding an instance with even a dozen people willing to do arsenal when it pops. The few of us who do enter just shrug and hit return without even attempting the demon walls.
The system is just dumb and i agree with the OP fully. You cant make such a progression system in a confined area of the game.
Overall problem with the game seriously, a abundance of disconnected subset system, not really a "world"

Eh...no?! It's as simple as removing all sync function on all parts of Eureka, including notorious monsters. A solo lvl80 with top lvl80 gear should be able to do all of the content in Eureka easily enough, especially when the magia board will increase his stats.Eureka is an entirely different story and would require significant changes / massive nerfs to allow a small group or solo player any reasonable chance of completing it.... in short, unless they feel like wasting development resources on it in future, it will remain dead.
When Shadowbringers hit the servers it will take it's final breath. But that is kinda how this game is designed, content is left to die with no plan on using said content down the line.

Honestly the light is the worst part. Instead of 31 lights it should be 1 - 5 - 10 lights to complete the Pagos relic (effectively half of what it is currently).
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

1. Eureka is based on Elemental Level, NOT job level... you're suggesting they remove Elemental Level? Because that would be a pretty massive change (though not an unwelcome one as the levelling in Eureka is basically just an annoying time-sink).
2. NMs are spawned by killing a LOT of normal mobs... so the entire 'post 5.0' Eureka would be stomping normal mobs until an NM popped (such fun!).
3. Speaking of the Magia board, unless they give you 10 points (another big change) you’re not going to able to survive and do massive damage at the same time, so yeah, have fun getting 1-2 shot, or taking minutes just to kill a single mob (or is a 3/2 split still viable?).
Finally, Eureka simply wasn’t designed for solo / low player numbers, so even if you could go in as a 'god' and 1-shot everything, it would be even more of a monotonous braindead time-sink than it currently is... but I guess at least it would be possible; who cares about 'fun' right?
(Yes, 'fun' is subjective, but at least the ARR and HW relics had variety so even if you hated some steps you could still enjoy others).
