See it here folks. A perfect example of what the OP of the thread is talking about.lol. the game is dying. the majority of people still playing are the whiteknight fanboys. SE ruined this game, no amount of player feedback or work is going to save it. 2.0 will come...the game will pickup for a short while...then fade away again. It's the same thing that has happened in every patch since 1.18.
This most recent patch was 1 step forward 2 steps back.
Yes we got some core game functions that the game should have had from day 1.
Yes they are preparing the classes for the new jobs.
BUT (bring on the trolls cause thats really all thats left on this forum), they implemented this class change at the wrong time. These class changes should have been held off until advanced jobs came out, and implemented at the same time. Implementing changes such as these (that made almost all classes weaker than they were before) that are planed for bigger changes in the future just makes the game more broken until those next changes come about. In other words SE is breaking the game with the explicit purpose of fixing it later. What kind of backwards @ss thinking is that? Lets break it so we can fix it later?
SE has no clue what they are doing.
(start the flaming trolls)
the reason everyone is saying SE ruined this game is because.....they ruined this game...just because I choose to voice my opinion differently than you does not make my point less valid. SE ruined this game and they are continuing to do so even now. When payment starts my server will be dead. Its already down to the same 100 or so people day in and day out on my server. The new star wars game is coming out, payment is starting too soon, lack of content, lack of basic game mechanics = [death].
I'm sorry you are not capable of caring about the direction the game is headed, I truly am. And maybe the OP is right, maybe more constructive posts would get SE's attention...oh wait...I played XI for 5 years...they don't care about you or your opinion...most of us learned that playing XI.
Yea I do agree that new Star wars game is going somewhat put a hammer on the current population especally if it's cracked up to what bioware is hyping it up to be a true WoW Killer lol. As for this game... It's going take a year or two to rebuild from the rushed launch... Only loyal fans of SE & The entire Final Fantasy Series for that matter will be playing this when FFXIV 2.0 releases... However they have a chance to gain lost souls back by releasing expansions... Like FFXI did. It may not be a pretty road ahead, but have some hope dude... Don't count FFXIV out just yet.the reason everyone is saying SE ruined this game is because.....they ruined this game...just because I choose to voice my opinion differently than you does not make my point less valid. oh i have no intention of quiting. But if I'm going to pay (which I am) I want the game to not suck ; ;. For days now I've just been sitting here...waiting for something to happen. Letting my friends catch up with the moogle quest so we can go try it. Leveling crafts (which I hate btw, I refused to lvl crafts in XI and I tried not to lvl them here but now I have nothing left to do). And if you think its boring right now, just wait till payment starts, I will not be able to do much of anything anymore except pay to not play a game. Which makes me very mad.Yea I do agree that new Star wars game is going somewhat put a hammer on the current population especally if it's cracked up to what bioware is hyping it up to be a true WoW Killer lol. I said that same thing. But I also said that breaking the game now with the plan to fix it in the future is the wrong way to do it. As it is right now the classes are extremely off. They wont be fixed until the advanced jobs come out. But that is the wrong way to go about it. They should have held off the class changes for 1.21 and done it all in one go. Right now even normal parties at lvl 50 are difficult. The new moogle prereq quest is a massive time sink purposly implemented to keep people busy until next patch. This is the wrong way to do things. You want to keep people interested in the game? Keep people playing? Make a game that is worth playing in the first place. We need to look at the now in respect to the future planned additions, if you do they make alot more sense.
They were stupid enough to make this horrible game and then AFTER it bombed fire all their staff and try again. lol. Am I the only one that remembers that?SE did make one of the most success mmos of all times before are they that stupid?
And you are a perfect example of a noob that can't read. I said already twice, they are making plans for the future, but breaking the game even more in the mean time. I know they are trying to fix it, but breaking it just to fix it later is WRONG. Learn to read.Licont is an example of the OPs whole point and why it is valid. People need to not look at the now and they need to not look at this as a finished product.
I don't see eye to eye with this "breaking" you are talking about. Which means this is a battle of opinions and means absolutely nothing to the devs.I said that same thing. Person A thinks we are breaking the game before it gets better.
Person B thinks the game is getting better all across the board.
Neither of us have the right to declare either of our opinions as fact.
If the game was getting better then we probably would not be losing so many people every day...I don't see eye to eye with this "breaking" you are talking about. Which means this is a battle of opinions and means absolutely nothing to the devs.

you say it is a battle of opinions...but my opinion has a dwindling player base backing it up...and the other opinion has...uhh...what does it have exactly?
I would like to see these statistics claiming how player base is dwindling. From what I understand, populations have been up from normal on many servers. Even on my own server, I've noticed an increase in player activity. However, as this is just an eyeball account, I will not present it as an absolute statistic.
Your statistics are coming from...where again?
It wouldn't surprise me if you're the same kind of person that claims so adamantly that "50%" of the player base is going to leave when subscription fees hit.
Another thing alot of you are not taking into account, is the human mindset.
Person A tells you you don't know what you're doing and you need to rethink it.
Person B tells you you did a great job and don't change a thing.
Who you gonna listen to?
So SE listens to the whiteknight fanboys and continues to make bad decisions, rather than listen to the majority (take a look around the forums, the majority of us dont like the way SE has been handling this game).
