I know I'm a couple of pages late but HOLY CRAP, this might be one of those extreme rare times where my blood actually boils. Those healers should never heal again for any content, period. That tanks should've been kissing your feet for saving the raid by being an attentive tank (god knows how many times all the other tanks in alliance raids ive been just sleep through everything). My mind is completely blown and can only speculate there was some premades-premades filled with DUMBASSES-who can't recognize when someone's doing their GODDAMN job.

I would litter this post with F bombs about how pissed I am about how they treated you and how extremely...repugnant these people in the alliance were but...sigh...unfortunately, what's done is done and I can only sincerely pray it never happens to you again.

AND IF IT DOES, I HOPE ME AND SOME OF THE OTHER SUPPORTIVE FORUMERS ARE IN YOUR PARTY IN THAT MOMENT TO GIVE THOSE ARROGANT LITTLE SHITS THE WHAT-FOR!

I'm sorry you had to go through that Kallistra. It honestly aggravates me a lot that you had to put up with what you did. The things I really want to say would get me banned off the forum, but...you have my sympathies for whatever those are good for :<

MT has dissolved into nothing but caps lock and swearing at this point. I'm frustrated and I don't know what to do. The third tank is probably too scared to try and help. I really don't want us to wipe, so I'm really just trying to help. Now the DPS who have been pretty silent about the issue start to back up the healers, saying that the wipes have been my fault and that if I just stopped trying to massage my "raider ego" this could have all been avoided.

Not long after that I'm vote dismissed. RIP EXP. RIP patience. I am d o n e. Is it petty of me to say that I hope they didn't clear the raid after all that? Because I kind of hope that they didn't.

Sorry for the long drivel about what's now an incredibly irrelevant story but I want to know from you,was I wrong for blacklisting that Bard?Did I overreact? It's still nagging me to this day and sometimes I feel a bit of guilt about it.

As a fellow anxiety sufferer, I just wanted to offer support and *hugs*! You're doing content I can't even contemplate doing right now and you're beating it, even with a shaky experience like you had, so you're a hero to me. You give me hope that maybe one day I can maybe do the same. That other bard (feh! how dare they sully the name of bard with their antics!), if you feel they messed with you, then yes, you're right to blacklist. You don't need to spend time on someone who is out to be an arse to others.

Really though, I'm happy you got your clears over and over and that is what is what you should concentrate on instead of feeling guilty over blacklisting (which I suspect you are experiencing because you are a decent human being anyone should be happy to run content with). Keep your chin up! You did right by you. <3

As hard as it was tho the first time the experience served to strengthen me and taught me what to expect in Savage raids and how to handle them

It takes an entirely different mindset to attempt savage raids compared to everything else in the game including EX Primals,and if it wasn't for the fact that Deltascape and Sigmascape were based on Final Fantasy 5 and 6,two of my favorite games of all time I might've not delved into savage content.And it was all thanks to the friends I had on my FC and the friends I made during the process of clearing it that I managed to do it multiple times ^_^

if you ever attempt savage raids at any point(though I absolutely understand if you wouldn't) I'd be happy to help,heck I'd be happy to help with any content in the game ^_^

This happened last year to one of my alts. Said alt is a catboi, and a rather fine looking one at that (although personal preference does tend to drift to Xaela chaps and the odd elezen). His name is a silly one: Mjau Miaow'a, "mjau" being Norwegian for miaow. I levelled up lancer and archer at the same time, and notice he's getting more commendations than any other character I've got. I decide this must mean everyone likes catbois and that's where all the commendations go. The only way I can get even more commendations (!) is to be a tank. So Mjau becomes a MRD. I level him up and get him suitably kitted out at 15 for his first dungeon as a tank. He's glamoured in the Pagos shirt and Falconer's trews. Thus into Sastasha he goes!

I'm nervous at this point. I mean, I've done a little tanking, and know Sastasha backwards so that isn't an issue. It's just I have social anxiety and I get nervous with people I don't know. But still! Sastasha! It's harder to say than it is to run. Unless you're with three others who are clearly overlevelled, and decide they don't actually need a tank to tank. The DPS ran ahead whilst the healer was hitting on Mjau. Overtly. "Mjau, you're kinda hot," she said. Yes. I made him that way. For me! I think there was a proposal in there somewhere and honestly, I really do understand if everything was based just on looks, but the flirting disturbs me and the DPS wig me out by not sticking to conventions. I stop up and announce am spoken for, would not engage in relations with anyone else, and really I'm just there to hold aggro and hack at stuff with an axe. Do not let the Pagos shirt fool you.

I must say, however, I don't think these three were in any way malicious - in another situation, had I known them like they seemed to know each other (all from the same server), perhaps I would've been laughing too. They weren't like, "git gud, cat". They just didn't really have much regard for convention and were perhaps a little lax in the traditional dungeon method. Also, random flirting without knowing a person always disturbs me. Maybe it's because I've run into some bad chaps in my earlier days, who knows. Still, randomly hitting on people in dungeons is just odd to me. Anyhoo.

After some death (because you do need a tank to tank, it appears, even in baby dungeons), we reconvene and they actually let me tank. They don't care about ripping aggro, but I'm generally able to hold it together and we get to the end. The DPS vanish, leaving poor Mjau with this little Raen woman. I think she was expecting something to be said. I'm not sure. Mjau ran for the exit and never looked back. Poor cat! He is hot, though. It's entirely true.

I don't remember her name, or the names of the DPS. If they're reading this, and remember the paranoid tankcat, he says sorry. He's likely to be better behaved if you ever run into him again (although please don't flirt with him!).

You did nothing wrong with blacklisting that bard there was no need for his behavior and i'm sorry you and your friends had to endure it hopefully you'll never have to come across them again.
