    Need/Greed needs to be fixed!

Right now when you greed or need on one of the end game missions/raids you can't get another item for the rest of the week if you are able to aquire one. I recommend SE "seperates" Need from Greed so if you are able to Need something, you should still be able to greed an extra item and ofcourse the other way around. Why? Because a lot of us play with all classes at the same time on one character and one piece a week is kinda... pathetic...

I'm fine with only being able to get one piece from raids a week.

This is no problem with Need/Greed.

The rule is you only get one item per instance every week.
You are asking to double the limit to aquire items.

So why not just change it to be able to get one item specific to every job per week? /s

Not at all. I'm just pointing out that a lot of people have all classes on one character and if you only get 1 item a week...
Just calculate how much months you'll be busy just getting a full gear on every class, not mentioning the fact that sometimes you waste 60 minutes doing the raid just to get nothing (like I did 2 days ago).
I can't speak for everyone but if I've worked the entire day and I only have a few hours in the evening, I'd rather not waste them and get nothing in return. That sadly just happens too often, so I don't see this idea as "an issue" knowing Need gets priority over Greed anyway.

Well. I can't remember if they did this with Dun Scaith, but if they remove the restriction before the expansion drops, what's the issue? The one drop a week is to keep you going back into the content. It's artificial longevity but it at least kind of works.

I've got every job to 70, but I don't really bother getting stuff for jobs I don't play often. I run it once or twice a week. If I get a drop, cool. If not, meh.

But you know there are plenty of other ways to gear up a job, you don't need to rely on an end game duty to do it. Tomestone and crafting gear are options, Eureka if you have the time, and normal 8man raids drop currency to trade in for gear well. Unless you intend to do high end content like Extreme or Savage you won't need the very best gear, so items from the options listed should more than suffice for alternative jobs.

Are you new to FFXIV? Cause I've seen this topic a billion times since coil, and the format hasn't changed. One piece a week, and that's it.
You have variable ways to get gear for your many jobs (that most of us already have at 70. Including me with all classes at 70 except fishing)
    1) Tome grinding weekly for 390 gear (upgrades from monastery to 400)
    2) Current tier level gear that's applicable to grind 360-370 ilvl (upgrades from 24man raids)
    3) Crafted gear (which upgrades to 390 with tomes and items acquired from resistance fighter)
    4) Current raid tier (for endgame 400 stuff)
    5) Current raid non savage 380 stuff).

All that drops usually a week before the next tier of ilvl gear. So it's not really like you need to gear up classes. Gear up your main, worry about your main, and equip your secondaries as you see fit. If you're trying to go into endgame content with the class, then focus on that. Pretty simple and standard to me.

I highly doubt you read this topic a billion times since there aren't even close to 1/10th of total topics on this forum...
Also, No I am not new to FFXIV... are you? I think this is a rude question to imply others are noobs because you can't understand their point of view.
And everything you mentioned is stuff that requires a shitload of time to achieve, especially since it happens often for me that nothing drops at all from raids and I am not a crafter for several reasons.
So the only option I have is get stuff from tomestones and I guess I'm not as patient as some of you are.
Judging from how many newcommers quit FFXIV soon after I think there are more people like me that would rather have a quick way of getting things done.
Don't misundestand tho, my main intentions is to make idea's of which I believe might "benefit" the community because if I feel this way, chances are others will feel that way aswell.
I just try to find a sollution for everyone's problem, not just a select few that might not care for what they believe are minorities.. because if I look online at how much people are actually logging in on a daily basis... the FFXIV playerbase currently is the minority :/

There aren't millions active players as claimed... just a few thousands...
And so changes should be made to make more people happy.
The only question is... who will SE listen to... because in the end.. more happy customers is more income.
It would be unwise of them to ignore the mayority because a select few only think about themselves.
And this is what this forum is for.. to discuss possibilities and hopefully find a sollution together. To make this place Great again as Trump would say XD

You're too impatient. the game is designed this way to keep people around as much as possible. Whether your personal friends list is empty or devoid of people being online is not for you to decide whether the game is "in the minority" as you put it.
