Well, either way Y'shtola is taking the name of Matoya. My best class it's going to be Witch, playing similarly to Blackmage but with spell differences that players can't get that set her apart.

Hello, if you're reading this, then you should know this isn't part of the post.
I think he is saying "What say is thou Master Matoya" ?
Aren't you, english speakers (frenchy here) using "thou" as you / your's ? Meaning he would be saying somethin like "what are your words master Matoya ?"
I would go for "Matoya" being a title or a family name given by Master Matoya to Yshto'la for some reasons
All I know is SHE is back apparently....please don't give her a linkpearl Y.Y

People don't know how to take criticism anymore, and bad play is rewarded with with a coddling mentality. Yes, this is a casual game for the most part - that doesn't mean people need to walk on eggshells in fear of getting reported for pointing out things. This whole 'please don't say anything even slightly negative' mentality that we seem to be going towards and the devs seemingly pushing towards it is creating a disturbing trend.
She is a Gray Wing Witch based on Alistair Crowley research on Tarot it's in the path between Astrologist and Black Mage.
You can check the Gray Wings as a conceptual representation in her skirt fabric shapes.
(Gray Wing Angels) they kind represent the balance between chaos and order, they mingle between destructive/constructive will power to find their inner balance that's where they project their magic, that was the vibe it came to me while watching the presentation.

My Theory:
I think the scene with Uriangier and Y’Shtola/Matoya is the closest to us in terms of timeframe.
Uriangier is ‘sent back’ from wherever the scions have been ‘called’, he acts as a messenger, and reveals the coming calamity. We seek out Matoya’s help, who decides to fight alongside us ‘until Y’shtola returns’. But she can’t do that in her frail old body, so she chooses her star pupil who she knows would agree to being used as a vessel in this manner under dire circumstances.

That's more or less the meaning - basically "what do you say [about this], Master Matoya?"
(Or normally we'd probably ask "what do you think?")
The exact line is "what sayest thou" - it's an older form of English that uses different endings on verbs, like in German. (I'm a native English speaker but learned German at school.)
And yes, "thou" means "you".

But using both black and white magick are the definition of Red Mage.Technically, isn't that already possible? Jobs are really just there for game mechanics. There's no stopping a character from using whatever magic they want so long as it's allowed within the lore (limitations can be things like the medium used but I don't know if, say, a wood cane is a strict requirement for White Magic since it seems like you can manipulate Aether without anything like that as shown by people like Y'shtola and Krile performing magic without any weapon).

A really bad firefighter.

I really don't see them introducing a new job using a staff, really not needed (I already find gunbreaker not very inventive... ).
She's just a BLM.
