I mean, if we're just going to make up the lore to fit what want it to be in the future.. For all we know Garlean civilians walk around in moogle outfits and Chocobo heads. I wouldn't be surprised to see one rebelling against society and wearing a Vanu Vanu hat.We have yet to see into what type of aethetics garlean civilians are into yet since we have no access into Garlean Society until 5.0.
For all we know garlean civilians may be more into aethetics similar to our Real World with Smartphones, mangas/comics, anime shows on Holographic television and internet, and etc. Heck i will not be surprised if we run into a Manga writer in garlean society once we get there.
Well that would be a interesting to see since if there is Manga and anime shows in Garlean Empire, i hope to see this stuff in Garlean Empire version of Comic Con or akihabara
that's exactly how lore works.
i don't assume all Garlean civilians walk around like stormtroopers.
it's not like we don't already have suits and tuxedos and jeans and wedding dresses.

I think you missed the point of the exchange. We have a current represented aesthetic to how Garlean technology and clothing (through some MSQ Garleans who weren't in armour, Cid's and Nero's way of dress) looks and even how loyal Garleans act. The fact that we haven't been to Garlemald doesn't mean that we have no information on how they operate, look or live and get to say "the things we've seen are in no way representative of what we may see, so i'm going to pretend they have manga and cell phones and other head-canon and then plug my ears."

no, but at the same time you also don't get to say "the things we've seen are representative of the only things we may see, so i'm going to pretend everything different does not fit my head-canon and then plug my ears."The fact that we haven't been to Garlemald doesn't mean that we have no information on how they operate, look or live and get to say "the things we've seen are in no way representative of what we may see, so i'm going to pretend they have manga and cell phones and other head-canon and then plug my ears."

See, i know you're trying to act like this is a gotcha moment.. but it's not. I'm not plugging my ears about anything because i'm not accepting that Garlemald might have a completely different aesthetic from what we've seen of them already.
When you have seen something of a nation/people/etc, it can be inferred that there will be similar elements within their greater culture; while it can not be inferred that you will see things that are wildly different from what's already been represented as being the norm, and while the military may have a more ruggedized and cold feel, it wouldn't be completely removed from the greater cultural aesthetic. When we get to garlemald, we will more than likely see a lot of buildings that look like the Garlean buildings we see dotting areas of Eorzea and Doma.. and we probably won't see them living in thatched roof cottages.. because we can see their architectural style in action.
Will there be outliers and different classes of Garleans who live differently from each other? Probably, but cultures will always share common elements across it's classes. If you ever take even a cursory examination of cultures across history, you would be able to see this.
