Hildibrand season 2 storyline that happened in 2.X had the impression of fan-service but ended up having one of the most important Lore to Ul'dah's history.

Maybe Nier Raid may dive into WoL (our character) origins to a point implying WoL may not be from this world before they were summoned into FF14 world by Hydaelyn (before waking up in 2.0 intro) by having the story focus on why a portal into Nier Universe appeared only to discover later in Raid 2 or Raid 3 that this anomaly relates to how the WoL appeared into FF14 World as well.
Huh...someone not jumping to conclusion and is determined to give a future content a try before writing it off? Rare trait around these parts.
