Meanwhile I just wish tights/stockings didn't just abruptly end at the ankles. It's a bit of a peeve of mine.Sorry I mean't longsocks that go up past the knee instead of leggings. This is an example of what I mean by longsocks for males as well.
But I do wish Square would have more level one glamour for all classes/gender/race. So that there would be more customization. If the original intent of glamour is suppose to be pants then it should be pants on male and female. If it is a skirt it should be a skirt on male or female. This would help both male and female characters looking for the right look.

Ah, right. That's a very different request to "leggings", at least as I understand it.Sorry I mean't longsocks that go up past the knee instead of leggings. This is an example of what I mean by longsocks for males as well.

But yes, a bigger variety of styles available to both genders would be good. I'd love to see more Lv1 "utility" pieces that provide a specific style. A dyeable skirt over black tights would be so good for me, and I'd also like to see more sleeve-modifying gloves instead of having them scattered around race- or job-locked items.
It would definitely be nice, although it's an effect of how they program the different gear pieces - tights are leg gear, so they only affect the "legs" section of the character model (waist to ankles). Obviously they've worked out something different with long boots going beyond the foot, but I guess you're thinking more of having the 'foot' part of the tights visible under the shoes.
That's due to how they handle gear in this game. Our characters are essentially legos - our feet and legs are separated and get swapped out whenever we equip something new and "pop in" together to form our character models. For them to create stockings that go farther than the ankles, they'd need to create a piece of feet gear that "continues" it; while wearing anything else than the "continued" footwear would return you to the 'abrupt end' issue. or they could make a leg piece that occupies both the feet & leg slots - but you'd give up your choice of footwear.

Maybe code in something to the legs itself or the shoes to detect certain items and continue them. It sometimes makes glamours annoying to work with since it bothers me so much. That's due to how they handle gear in this game.
