Wow.... it's like they've stopped trying altogether. I'm happy they've got what will hopefully be a nice expansion coming around the corner, but yet another holiday event with trash rewards? C'mon now.... it's getting old. They're just not putting the effort into these holiday events like they used to.

You laugh but I wouldn't be surprised if we suddenly see a elaborate new outfit appear...in the Chinese version of ffxiv.

Hmmm maybe this will be another npc confessions event like that one year where you could hide and watch who got the gift laid out. Thus why one of the items is a great sword because then obviously it would mean a certain drk would finally be having a moment of non gruffness. Also what no here let me slice this cake with my handy tonberry knife for you type comments? Yes, I know you won't see it as often but where's your imagination people?

Well count me disappointed. This is a new low for event items.

Say what you want about past events, at least the items you got could be used by anything at anytime; or if they were class specific, they did something for every class.

I mean lets face it, they're super freaking busy putting the ShadowBringers expansion together and said "F this event" I respect that.

But it would have been better if they just gave nothing rather than some lame pity items.

And yes, this is absolutely a case of "My class(es) didn't get items. I feel left out. I hate this thing"

I do like that they've included weapons for valentine's day. Nothing speaks more of love than tools to stab your partner with.

My issue with this is that we're getting a lot of -for the lack of a better word- lame stuff on events. Getting a nice outfit, or a nice mount, or even a set of weapons for all the classes with a creative design would be a good way of saying: Hey, we appreciate your subscription money so have these nice things "for free" and enjoy the events.

Instead we get consumable housing items and sometimes a couple of other itens that don't necessarily fit the idea of the event, and then the emotes, clothes and mounts are added on random patches as mog station exclusive. The older event rewards in my opinion were better. And by older I don't even reffer to this one in particular because last year we got a flower pot disguised as a "love urn" and a minion.

I am honestly not sure why they chose those as main rewards. Rest seems to be housing so if you dont own a house or apartment you get two items that could also be utter useless for you and look nothing like something that is coming from that event. No music, no pets, no mounts, no glamour. Not that I want all of that in one event but at least one of them? Or at least make the weapons with some hearts?
