Are we forgetting missile? While it doesn't work on all bosses, on the second boss of most dungeons it works well and I've had it deal 60k damage. If the target isn't immune, that's a huge number that a 50 blm can't come close to overcoming.

Well, because Missile and the insta-kill abilities are limited in what they can actually affect.

I mean, technically you can say that BLU has ridiculous damage because if they land a Doom or Tail Screw they instantly kill the target.

But, usually these kinds of comparisons are a way of judging just how far away from a "Normal" job the class is, which generally implies to accounting for skills that would obviously be restricted if the classes were both playing in relevant content.
