



Except that's exactly what they did. Blue Mage is closer to being a perfectly functional job than some solo powerhouse that can utterly destroy any foe. Its current "balance" doesn't allow for Blue Mage to accomplish much of anything outside of the Masked Carnival.
If you think spamming glower is close to being perfect and something that is good or actually that what people want i have some bad news for you.
I agree with this, however one must consider that at level 50, most other jobs weren't so complex either. If what is there can still constitute as a base for future complexity, there's something to work off of. It's weird to go back to spamming Fire on Black Mage for example, when their 70 rotation is a lot more involved. I would imagine Blue Mage will have an ever growing pool of choose-your-own spam combo spells, but I would also expect what they accomplish around that task to be far more interesting eventually.
