Bump for same English voice actor for Fran as in FFXII !

I kind of doubt Fran will become a major character. But they will most likely introduce a Viera major character in 5.0, or maybe 4.55, due to the introduction of the new player race.


Fran was mostly there for a cameo, unless they make an even bigger crossover with FF 12 as a whole than just the Ivalice raids. They did make a reference to Ashe though...

Maybe a third of Othard's map is Ivalice, Gabranth was introduced, and Fran was involved as a general under Ashe. There are a ton of dangling plot threads after the raids(especially one likely to tie into the flood of Light through Ultima and her seraphs), and considering the zones we know of for 5.0, the revolution in Dalmasca could easily be part of the main plot.

Don't worry, because raids are optional they never are directly intergrated into the main storyline (with the possible exception of Coil, which was meant to tie up the 1.0/ARR storyline and explain what happened immediately after the Calamity and add an extra line of dialogue to Alisaie during one of the HW patch storylines).

But everything else are side stories with little to no direct connection into the main storyline, and the Ivalice raids especially are indeed little more than fanservice dressed up as 'connected' to the story. Shadowbringers will stand on it's own merits and won't be a rehash of FFXII, that's just being realistic.

I'm not saying that Shadowbringers will be a rehash of XII, but considering they're adding even more Ivalice stuff with the Nu Mou as an announced beast tribe, and have had the Dalmascan situation discussed for multiple patches even in the MSQ, I'm saying that it's all but guaranteed to at least be a subplot.
