    There also appears to be a maximum height you can float items if you're not on the top floor.

    I'm trying to create a lower ceiling for part of my ground floor. When I tried to float my Combed Wool Rug higher than this, it would snap to the upper floor.

    I'm not certain what would happen on the upper floor. Hopefully it would stay in place without having yet another floor above it to snap to. I may end up switching around my floor plans if that's the case because this is lower than what I wanted (even if it would create a handy hidden storage space)

    This is likely happening for the same reason wall mounted items that are floated will snap back to the wall. The game is trying to find a normal anchor for it and you're just close enough. On the top floor that probably wouldn't happen.

    What did you use to get the wool rug that high? I don't need it THAT high, but I can only get it to the height of an Ash Cabinet (shorter than the Riviera wardrobe in your image), and only need it a smidge higher, so the loft can actually fit underneath it. For some reason, I can't get wardrobes, bookshelves or cupboards to work with floating the rug, but I can use other items pretty reliably (fireplaces, tables, cabinets, etc).

    Does the Riviera Shelf work with the rug? I see a stage panel in your image. Does it have to move in small increments with the shelf?

    Sorry for all the questions lol ^^;

    Yes, the Riviera Wall Shelf works with the rugs as well. Have to test a little to get it centered correctly so it will work. I start with Oriental Round Table/Hingan Wardrobe/Glade Open Shelf Bookcase for a quick boost up then switched to the wall shelf. You can place the bottom of the brackets of the wall shelf even with the bottom of the item you want to float and it will jump up that amount.

    I did go back and float the rug almost to the ceiling on the upper floor of my house without issue but decided it wasn't giving me quite the look I wanted.

    Awesome, can't wait to try that! Thank you so much <3

    Edit: Gave it a shot last night, and with a good bit of practice/finding the "middle", I managed to get the rug right where I wanted it! Thanks again

    Also you can use the loft itself to raise rugs once you get it a bit off the ground. This way you could keep it level with where you want the loft to be and not have the rug float or look too sunken in, and it's a lot easier to line up with the 'middle'.
