Maybe it would share gears and weapons with ninja class, solving a lot of problems. Pugilist level 30 might also be required. See: http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/D...nal_Fantasy_XI) for the ideas. They use dual wield daggers for weapons.

Nataraja (dancing form of shiva) a fearless celebration of the joys of dance while being surrounded by fire, untouched by forces of ignorance and evil, signifying a spirituality that transcends all duality.
That embodies a healer archetype.
The Zar, the healing dance of the Middle East/northeastern Africa.
The bushmen in Southern Africa have healing dances.
Dance played/plays a significant role in the healing rituals of indigenous Americans.
Dance is being used as a treatment for ptsd.
Just a few examples, I’m sure I missed some.
They've gotten rid of class requirements for other jobs so I doubt they'd ask for PUG for anything other than MNK in future. As for equipment, it's not outside the realm of possibility it would use Scouting, but that would skew things like loot drops and maybe even balance as they'd have a much easier access to Direct Hit and less to Piety. Loot drops is something they're at least considering since we had that greed only alliance rule a while back. It fell through, but it shows they're looking into it somewhat. Having one healer rolling on DPS gear would make things really awkward.Maybe it would share gears and weapons with ninja class, solving a lot of problems. Pugilist level 30 might also be required. Well we got rid of the TP-based healer now, so Dancer could pretty much be a casting healer and use that gear. Healers must have access to Piety (at least in current stat pattern), so sharing a DPS gear would not make sense in that regard.
I'd see the dancer focused on channeling healing spells and positionning. So a mobile healer that would have to stay close or facing targets right to be able to unleash good healing and that would have some good mobility to help... add some instants healing for "oh shit" situations and you're done.
For the weapon i would have seen : Dagger in the main hand and a fan as a spell focus.
well with tp going every job might like piety who knows if do dancer can go on scouting be interesting to see

?
However, none of the caster DDs has access to piety, so why should all jobs use piety when TP is gone, when not even the current casters use that stat?
Furthermore piety is the role exclusive stat for healers. It would be strange when they add a healer wich does not have his exclusive stat on the gear, but has with direct hit a stat wich does not affect healing at all.
There are also the healer role actions:
Largesse increases healing magic potency by 20%
Cleric Stance increases attack magic potency by 5%
Swiftcast and Surecast only affect casts
Lucid Dreaming is a MP regeneration tool
Then there are Break, Protect and Esuna, wich are all casts wich costs MP
In other words: Everything healer related caters to casters who use MP. They have to rework a lot to fit a non caster healer in.

Agreed. But Esuna costs as little as 600 MP@level 70. Protect and Break doesn't have any MP cost. But that doesn't change the fact that healers now are basicly casters (all of them are Disciples of the Magic).
An healer who's Disciple of the War would really means some major rework.

LB should be summoning a pole and then pole dancing to heal the party.
