    Not sure if it was mentioned but I thought one of the physical characteristics of viera was there feet are naturally shaped to be supported by high heels. Sounds like female only to me

    They have males. They said in FFXII and they say it (a lot) in the raid.

    It does? He says don't bother to look for male viera. You won't find them and even if you did, they will kill you. He's never seen one, and they don't live in the city, so male viera might as well not exist to us. That sounds more like they won't be playable to me.
