Enmity indicators on the party frame are disabled by default and you have to go into the HUD settings in Character Configuration to enable them (why would you if you don't know what enmity is?).

Someone completely new to MMOs that use the tank/healer/DPS trinity are going to be totally ignorant of the concept and have no idea there is something they should be doing to reduce their threat when not tanking. If other players don't explain it to them, they're going to remain ignorant.
You might've missed the part where I mentioned that they were not new players. Not to mention that they both had 60+ tank jobs - one had all three jobs at level 70. The dungeons in question were the early HW dungeons. To the best of my knowledge, enmity indicators are not disabled by default - they come with the party list. Maybe you're thinking about the enemy list that pops up? But the party list already has the enmity indicators. The whole point is, if you've tanked multiple times, and have several jobs at 70, you should, at this point, already know about enmity. Enmity is one of the tank's primary responsibilities, sure, but the party is also responsible for maintaining their aggro as well.

Isn't it also mentioned in all 3 tank's class quests (job for DRK)? I know I recently started leveling mrd and it was there when they sent the healer with me the first time for a duty.

A Tank that doesn't know how enmity skills work? In Expert? Oh the humanity.

    Christmas Day roulettes!

Expert and 70: easy, even had the same great tank.

50/60: a couple new of players, I flubbed a little (didn't cost us), wipe on the boogey man, but the a great regroup. Thank you alt sprout with the great summary of the boss mechanics the whole way.

Had a run in Haukke Manor for leveling. Tank seemed new, had a little trouble with hate. I felt bad because a real life distraction caused me to be too slow with a heal on the first pull, so he had my full attention the rest of the run. Generally grabbed hate and held it but ran into trouble a few times, and they were always the worst times. That isn't on him, he was trying. But it was a little funny. Last boss the adds showed up and it was a scramble. But he even seemed (fairly?) new to that dungeon, and getting people to try tanking can be hard enough, so with his solid effort I definitely gave him my comm. I wish the others had, too. Good luck, newly minted Warrior! If you keep at it I look forward to playing alongside you again.

Thanks for helping make the FFXIV community a fun and welcoming place. If you're not sure you have (and you very likely have), make it a point to be patient or helpful the next time you log in so that you can know you've made a difference.

If you're on the Aether data center, congratulations! I might be your next exciting adventure healer in the Duty Finder. Please look forward to it.

Trying to actually level alt. PoTD 40-50 is an absolute sh** show, like literally. Leavers, constant mimics, constant spawn traps, no healers, brand new players, nobody uses items, pox galore, 30 minute queues, 40 minutes just to die on boss (if we get there). This is literally the end boss of the entire game.

Was hoping for a quick 50/60 run on whm before I have to go out and got into Pharos. Tank said he would big pull, by all means knock yourself out! But...could you flash a little more...because the mobs are all over the place...never mind I died. Fast forward to the 1st boss and hooo boy explosions galore. Tank and the melee were really adamant about staying in the expanding aoe for who knows why. At least the blm moved for mechanics. Wiped once there because everyone was exploding everywhere. I only have so many benedictions and heals have cast times. On the way to the second boss the tank detoured into side rooms and whatnot, which would be alright if only he didn’t stand in those falling crystals while tanking the adds...sorry blm couldn’t keep you up. To the long corridor where the exit was one way and a dead end on another. The dps and I went towards the exit and the tank...went the other way. Pulled a bunch of mobs and came back. And of course, not enough flashes going out and the mobs chewed me out. I just upped and left. I would normally be patient but if the tank established himself as relatively experienced, I only have so many fuses to spare.

Tell me was I too harsh on the party?

I don't remember if that's the case or not. I go through periods went I want to do something as something other than NIN.

Not terribly sure about what Rosa is saying here,
but the Gladiator quests pair you up with Bruce early on, who will cast Cure on you while screaming at you to take threat (You have to already know where and when everything is going to spawn to actually have perfect threat control in this activity, perfect being Bruce doesn't get touched once).
I didn't pay attention to the Marauder quests, but there's a Roegadyn Female Conjuror who tags along with you.
For Dark Knight, Fray acts as a Conjuror for you. Though nothing tries to really go after him. (Because he's not real. MWAUAHAHAHA)

Got my byokku dog. Now just 2 to go haven't had time to do the Suzaku/Tsukoyumi fights but I can't imagine them being too bad

I've been finding Tsukuyomi to be suprisingly difficult in a subtle way, compared to other primals.
