I know it was probably from an unexpected result of leveling roulette, but seeing someone with an ilvl 142 weapon in Doma Castle still killed me a bit inside, even when the person was a DPS.

1st run on Apha1 (normal)
Gets healer 'dont stand near me' marker
Proceeds to move it away from party
Keeps moving away
Walks off ledge with it
xD

What a trash boyfriend. Hopefully she dumps him for a tank who knows how to use cooldowns >.> (and someone who isn't trying to control the info she gets in a PUG) (and also do you think he forced her to agree to kick you, cuz this sounds like an abusive relationship already)

Although I have Suzaku EX on farm, I'm still struggling to get a clear for O9S. I made it to enrage part. I'm not giving up. That win will be mine soon so I can start farming accessories with the rest of them.

hmmm,I used to think that based on what people told me in-game since it's faster to grind tomestones that way.I don't think it's based on people queuing deliberately for the Crystal Tower raids.
If everyone in the alliance has queued in via the roulette, then it will pick a raid that everyone can do - and if even one person out of the 24 is below Lv60 or hasn't unlocked the higher raids, then you've got no choice but to do Crystal Tower again.
but yeah you're right,I've seen many people on crystal tower levelling their jobs up to 60 or 70 which would explain why the game would queue them to Crystal Tower
While they weren't my BF, I had a dude who acted pretty similar way back in my WoW days when they found out I was a woman (One of our mutual friends told me he was attempting to control who I socialized with 'cuz he was worried I'd fall for someone not him if I so much as even said hello, but I was having none of it). I think this guy would lean more on the 'control-freak' side than abusive, but it'd be unhealthy either way. What a trash boyfriend. Sharing my own experience though, my bf (on SAM) & I queued up an expert roulette to cram in some extra tomes due to the holidays this past Sunday. Tank pulls small which I don't mind. Pop Diversion.....and suddenly my face is being chewed on. I drop dead pretty quickly, Followed quickly by my bf. He notices the PLD's mana is full so I pipe up in chat:
Me: "Are you using flash?"
PLD: "Why would I? It does no damage"
BF: "It massively increases your threat in every target it hits, if you don't use it you won't stand a chance at holding aggro in aoe situations."
PLD: "K"
Despite the 'K' he continued to ignore it, me and my BF co-ordinated our attacks to burn down one mob at a time so that neither of us would get swamped, Eos & the healer got to tank quite a bit, at this point we just waited out the 5 minute timer, which happened soon after the first boss. Luckily everyone rolled on loot so we dismissed the tank, with the healer saying "Thank god." after he was removed. Got an infinitely better tank that let me go full on BLM AOE death rotation after (Quad flare -> Foul is just SO satisfying.)
Like I get its easy to hit max level with minimal actual tanking needing to be done (POTD, HoH, alliance roulettes as OT, etc.) But you'd think people would read up on tanking guides. Faster queues don't mean much if you're getting removed by groups you queue into.
This is on the same level as the dps that refuse to use Diversion, Lucid Dreaming, Refresh and Tactican. I literally just had two runs back-to-back just like this. One was a SAM/BLM combo, the other was a SAM/NIN combo. Both times, it was the SAM nearly taking aggro. Like, I get it - SAM has really high DPS, but by your lack of Diversion, I have to keep jumping back into my tank stance after my burst combo. And neither one of these DPS combos were new players. This is...becoming far more common than I'd like. I could understand if you threw out your aggro dumps and I was struggling to hold hate...but when you don't use those tools at all during a boss fight, it makes me waste more time having to stick with my aggro combo because you refuse to use your aggro tools.

I had someone giving me a hard time in O10N this morning because I was bouncing up and down the threat list. Then I pointed out that the drops were when I used Diversion or Lucid Dreaming, and yet I still kept climbing back up over them. Half the party started laughing at them and I got comms from both tanks for using my threat dumps.
When does the game teach a new player about enmity and how to use those tools? It's not part of Hall of Novices training since that's designed for level 15 and Diversion isn't available until level 20. There is no Active Help entry I can find that even mentions enmity. Enmity indicators on the party frame are disabled by default and you have to go into the HUD settings in Character Configuration to enable them (why would you if you don't know what enmity is?).I literally just had two runs back-to-back just like this. Someone completely new to MMOs that use the tank/healer/DPS trinity are going to be totally ignorant of the concept and have no idea there is something they should be doing to reduce their threat when not tanking. If other players don't explain it to them, they're going to remain ignorant.
