Seriously - wtf. If my wife is getting advice from somebody on how to play and asks me to hold on the pulls, I'd be "sure thing, take your time hun". This guy, just.... wow.

I agree if my gf was getting advice and I couldn't answer her right away while we're playing then yeah i'd be like take your time it's crazy that I bump into such weird groups the last few weeks lol

I feel bad for her but not on a personal level just on the level of gameplay that her bf who she knows and is sitting beside him is acting this way, at least allegedly from what was said in p chat, but yeah it sucks that her bf put the training wheels on and didn't want any advice from anyone but him but hey I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it, I got too much eggnog and rum to drink so back at er!

It sounds like all the bf was trying to do was show how "good" he was when in reality he was only thinking with the oodle-noodle between the legs. There may be hope for the gf since she asked for help on blm rotations.

It reminds me of the party I just had from leveling roulette, got Gubal on my alt sch and was yelled at by the tank for using DoTs, Bane, Shadow Flare, and Miasma II. Their reasoning was 'you're a healer, not a summoner.' At the same time, they were stance-dancing their DRK on trash mobs; wearing lvl 53 dungeon gear, rolling on 59 tank gear and not using it when they got it. AND they were only using their enmity combo. No Abyssal Drain, no Syphon Strike, none of the good stuff; save for the occasional DA, Salted Earth, and Blood Weapon; and the reminder to turn on Darkside.

My brain. It feels broken. Please send help.

Literally every time I do alliance raid roulette I get Labyrinth of the Ancients.

This. It needs to stop. RNG, my ASS.

I recently found out that if you accidentally get locked out of that fight and use the new teleport feature, you don' t get put back with your alliance unless your alliance happens to be A. That was a fun run.

A while back I actually had a group (the first and last time I saw it happen) that wiped on that fight for this exact reason. One of the first people to reach it charged right in and pulled when only a handful of people where there. The bulk of the raid had to teleport in and were scattered randomly across the three platforms. No one could down their section, so we wiped. Didn't even know it was possible before that run.

Yea saying to someone you forgot defiance makes me sound like a jerk to some of you I'm sure.

As I said, the problem is not (or at least not definitely) that you told them to use Defiance, because you said more than that before they started to be actually rude back.

2. They say not to use Regen - perhaps could be worded better, but reasonable advice
3. You remark about tanking in AoEs
4. They complete their previous sentence
5. They take offence at either 1 or 3

Think what you like about the appropriateness of what you said and who is or isn't in the right, but you undeniably did not only say to use Defiance before it turned into an argument, and it seems more likely to me (without any further context) that they objected to your second comment.

Literally every time I do alliance raid roulette I get Labyrinth of the Ancients, and every time during the Atomos fight no one ever knows what to do. I can understand a new person not knowing, but there's rarely new people. I feel compelled to remind everyone to keep 4 people on the platforms because somehow these people can have every class at 70 and don't know how to do that fight. How do you get so far and screw up something so simple.

Lol same here except recently where I got void ark and Ridorina Lighthouse for once xD.

Seems like people mostly queue for the Crystal Tower alliance raids because of how short they are which is maybe why the roullette's RNG prefers it for whatever reason

As for the Atomos problem........well at least your alliance was in their assigned atomos for once compared to my last run where one of ours went to C instead of with us in A and it took longer than it needs to xD

Is it possibly programmed to drop people systematically into platform 1-2-3? Either that or it's random. Maybe it can't be programmed to see the difference between the three platforms, since the warping into the arena is a recent "add-on" and not built into the original dungeon system.

Though I would think it should still be possible to pass if you end up with roughly the right amount of people, even if it's not your actual party, as long as your group can coordinate themselves enough. You just need four people to agree to stand on the coloured platform, and someone (not necessarily a tank) to lure monsters down the aisle, right?

Then again, there's always that gulf between "should be simple" and actually getting people to do it unrehearsed...


Also I feel like it was a mistake to have each group's platform unlock another party's Atomos. If it was directly affecting the one in front of you, people might be more likely to notice that the barrier goes up when they step off the platform.

I don't think it's based on people queuing deliberately for the Crystal Tower raids.

If everyone in the alliance has queued in via the roulette, then it will pick a raid that everyone can do - and if even one person out of the 24 is below Lv60 or hasn't unlocked the higher raids, then you've got no choice but to do Crystal Tower again.
