Patch 4.5 ultimate dog disapointed.

I don't hate it but I do have to admit that I would imagine the reward for such an adventure would be more grandiose, like the other two were. If Fenrir wasn't a mount already it'd probably feel more interesting, but now it's just a different Fenrir lol. Still don't hate it but it doesn't quite meet expectation either.

I imagine giving it nine tails and making it a a bit larger would be big difference.

Count me in the group that thinks that mount is fugly. I won't bother going for it on purpose, but I do eventually want the other dog mounts for their colors anyways so I'll probably eventually get this as a byproduct.

I mean it isn't bad but... it certainly doesn't make me regret basically skipping all dogs (except Susano because I was just lucky). I'm perfectly fine with my firebird that I've had since like... Feb 2017? Or whenever Zurvan came out + 2-3 or so weeks.

Is it confirmed that this is the ultimate doge? I thought we'll have 1 more trial after seiryu since the story is hyping the final Auspice so much.

They revealed the Fox Lady as mount in the LiveLetter at FanFest when they also talked about that you'd get her if you collect all the dogs - with Seiryus dog the number of dogs is also going to be 7 again, just as it was with the ponies and the birds.

So I assume that the final fight is either going to be a solo-trial, maybe a dungeon of some sort, simply a cutscene in which the Byakko, Genbu, Suzaku and Seiryu doing the job or an actual trial, just without a mount as reward.

Yes, the big fox mount shown on the 4.5 special site is the ultimate (all wolves) mount. They revealed it at the NA FanFest last month. Not sure how they're going to work Kohryu in, but my assumption is that since we're going to have succeeded at quelling the ara mitama of all of the prior auspices, we'll either have succeeded completely in restraining him, or have weakened him enough to make it a simple solo duty.

Ah, yes, you're right - its 6 ponies in ARR! I counted nightmare among them, since it shares the model and drops from the primals aswell (but obviously doesnt count towards Kirin).

However: Both ARR and HW had 7 EX-primal fights each (with Mog not dropping a pony, sadly... I'd love a mog-themed pony!), so its not unreasonable to expect SB end up with the same amount, which means its only one missing at this point.

Oh wow, that's even more boring than I thought it'd be. The screencap from the fanfest stream made it seem like it'd be blue tinted at least, not just almost the same exact coloring as the foxy lady but with glows

I'm not seeing the problem. Kirin was just a boring recoloured horse. Firebird was just t12 boss. So what if this one is Foxy Lady? The kamuys looked stupid anyway.
