    You do understand that it's cross play compatible right? I play with PSN users and PC -.- so you can help each other.. Also common sense dictates Sony and SE are two different companies. Hint Hint. You can still help your friend out.

    I think what they mean is if you have a new or different PSN account, you can't switch your FFXIV to that one, it's linked to whatever you had before when you did the registration. Granted you can take your PSN account anywhere and use it on any device/console but your FFXIV account is still linked which seems to be the issue.
