01) I'm also all for gender unlock with the mogstation items: Heck, we can already do it with the bunny attire, and honestly, it can't get any "worse" than that.
02) NPC attires sold in Mogstation being dyeable. I've honestly avoided obtaining them just because of that.
03) Glamour restrictions lifted, except for job-specific items. Why have restrictions when the rules of what can and cannot be used for everyone are so inconsistent anyways?
04) I know it would be a big undertaking to revisit the old items, but please, from 5.0 and onwards, can we actually get armor with more than 1 dye channel?
05) Add. More. Dyes. At glance, you'd think "Oh, we are already well served", but in practice, it's still limiting. There are some basic colors missing, plus the ones we already have could have more nuance shades. Make a collaboration with Pantone, if you will!
06) Since they stated that the upcoming race in 5.0 will probably be the last one added, they could improve the old ones? More face options (please!), the height slider changes being more noticeable, more unique features per clan, maybe more idle poses? I've seen some only available to NPCs, like Leveva (a midlander using highlander hands on hips idle), or the Far East NPCs with their unique idling pose with hands closed and together.
07) Egi-glamours AND Demi-glamours. Make SMN have the classic summoner feel.
08) Let us preview battle voices and other animations in the character creation screen.
07) Unlimited slots for the glamour dresser. Plus at least 30 glamour plates... Where in the heck squeenix thought just 10 would be enough?
08) Make mounts and hairstyles that are obtainable ingame, available to all characters.
09) More customizability with the party frames. Cast times with the enemy nameplates. The main target nameplate's width adjustability too. It's way too long.
10) Since the support to the PS3 is dropped, can we get a rework on the capital cities to make them just one piece without loading screens, like Kugane? Also make them more lively too.
11) MCH rework.
1. Instanced Housing. I personally dont care for neighbors but for the players that do, they can stay in the wards
2. Bring the old relic chains back.
3. Update character creation with more options, let us choose the face and horns seperately.
4. remove class restriction on glamours.

That's both limited in quantity and also in quality. I think most people when they say instanced housing mean both unlimited (one for each player) and an actual baby zone/area to yourself with your house (not just a single room).

I think the best way would be to remove the caps (fun fact: I didn't even know there WERE caps on those...never came across them on any of my characters) on those and improve the quality, then. (Yes, I'm including the idea of an outdoor area in the apartment in that, like a balcony or something).
That said, it'd be a huge blow to shift to purely instanced housing. It's one of the few things that makes me really like my house in this game (unlike SWTOR and ESO and WoW [Garrison], etc., where it might as well not exist because I don't have neighbors and nobody ever sees it but me anyhow).
Note that this isn't really a case of 'got mine,' either, mind you. I'm planning on a server xfer when the free ones open up in 4.5....and who knows if I'll be able to get a house on Leviathan (especially beachfront property in Kugane like I have now).

Doesn't matter to me if they keep the current system (I mean I don't have a desire for them to destroy one system when creating another), but imo Wild Star housing system has been the best housing system I've seen in any mmo (or non). So I'd wish for that if I could.
Certainly making the apartments unlimited and basically "the same as a district house" would be fine. But technically with instanced content you can allow players to scale, rotate, and generally just break things to make fantastic displays (I mean you can see that already with the current system, now give players even more control and it'll be insane).
I think one of the most important features of making sure everyone can have a house though is that SE can then design more interesting content around it. Right now every time they add something to FC it's like taking a huge swipe at the FCs or players that can't get those houses. So by solving that you've opened up SE to do more things without backlash. But of course a huge drive for instanced content to me is you can have a lot more freedom visually. Say in an instance area you can choose your backdrop (like in Wild Star) so if you wanted a house on the Azim Steppe... go for it! (Backdrop, not literally there of course lol).

I can't speak for the person you're replying to, but in my post I meant full instanced houses, where there is an upstairs/downstairs and an outside yard. I don't want to see this replace the wards. I would like it in addition to the wards, with perks like available upgrades to the size of the house and more space for placing things in the yards (stuff that isn't possible right now with the current ward system). Those who like the neighborhood feel will probably find that more houses will open up in the wards due to people who want the perks moving into instanced housing, so they can potentially find plots they like better and will probably have neighbors who also want that neighborhood feel. Meanwhile, there will be a means for every player to get a house if they so choose.
Apartments are basically FC rooms for people who don't have a free company or don't want to be tied to any particular free company. They are too limited to be an ideal instanced solution.
Storing outdoor furniture in housing inventory. It's a pain in the rear that I have no place to put this stuff besides it clogging up my retainers inventory space.
