Both computers that I use are wired, connected to a router straight thru a cable. I have a premium Internet service that allows for 100Mb per sec down, and and high powered router. And none of these are the causes of the issues. The issue is the delay times that are caused by the EU ISPs that are providing your service. They are too high and need to be brought down. It is apparent that either your ISPs or your own SE network cannot adequately handle the traffic it sees. That has been evident since the first day 5 years ago when ARR came online. This is where you should be directing your attention. Users setups have not changed, mine has not, but the service gets worse because your networks cannot handle the load. Please fix them. Thank you.

    Updated status

As of the time and date of this post...the network now seems more stable than it has been for 2 days. PLEASE NOTE: I made no changes on my end. I was disconnected...I waited 10 min to reconeect, and after I did, approx 15 min from this time, everything seems much more stable. I do not know what may have changed on the network, but I made no changes to my system or configuration. I hope this may help in finding a more permanent solution. Thank you for your efforts.

It sounds like you were running into some sort of congestion or other issue along your route to the server. I can't tell for sure what it was, but it seems to have cleared up now.

    Hello MonsterMotions.

You may be running into a similar issue in regards to your connection to the server, but it could be exacerbated by certain configurations within your home network. What have you tried so far in order to try and resolve the issue?

We hope we can be of assistance in helping you enjoy the exciting world of Final Fantasy XIV!

    Hello Einmimiria

The config that i have for my internet protocol version 4 set to 8.8.8.8 / 8.8.4.4 this is what i have always had it at but some reason now it wont let me do anything, i have nothing on the firewall blocking final fantasy from being played as it would let me into the character screen then into the game itself but then not even 2 mins went by and it boots me with a 90002 code every time

i have also run a tracert test from 2 ip address which are 124.150.157.29 and 204.2.229.89 trace completed and nothing timed out.

Ive recently bought a new tplink for my computer to connect to the internet and that works fine as such as my tp link wireless extender which works fine aswell

i have done a router diagnostic and the router works good and ive even updated the firmware in the router, did a system reboot and self restore, ive even changed channel from 1 thru 6 thru 11 that didn't make a difference

i have taken off devices that wasnt needed on the internet which i thought it could be making traffic in the channels but like i said that did nothing to change the internet for ffxiv

tried different ethernet cables incase there was something wrong with it nothin also changed
did a system reboot and rolled back updates incase there was something installed in the pc which was drawing internet that did nothing aswell
ive rang customer support aswell and they had said there was nothing wrong with the systems and couldn't do anything cause i was hopping he would send a ticket in just to investigate the problem but he just sent me a email of the stuff to do for my internet like renewing the ip and dns, adding the game to exception rule which i had a while ago, reseting the network equipment

which is why i though it was lead to the ddos attack cause ive seen in the forums that people think that the chaos server is getting hit as alot of people cant log in but i dont know, i am very sorry for a bit of the rant there but this is was i have done to change everything in the internet and from what i can find from other forums on here

thank you for taking the time to read this

Good afternoon and thank you for the reply,

MonsterMotions, I understand you are frustrated and I am sorry for any inconvenience that has happened. You mentioned you did a trace route, could you copy and paste that? Also have you tried port forwarding?

    Hope to see you online!

Thank you for the update MonsterMotions.

I'm glad you were able to resolve the problem. If you no longer have the issue after changing your ISP, then it may have been contributing to the problem.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
