    Constant Disconnects

    I see many people have been having the same issue and i'm wondering if I might be able to get some help as well here. I've been getting pretty non-stop Disconnects that have been plaguing me since Heavensward practically, Its caused me to cancel my sub several times now but I really do like the game so I kept coming back.

    I believe its the 90001 error which i believe is just a general disconnect error so that may not be helpful but basically, i'll drop out of existence, no lag or anything and hop right back in no "Character still logged in" message or anything like that either, but i never lose internet.

    Things I've tried to fix it:
    I opened the suggested ports on my gateway settings
    Adjusted the settings in Internet Explorer to ensure the proper permissions were there.
    Clean start up, No background programs
    Hardwired connection and Wireless connection
    Adjusted my firewall

    I currently am running on my laptop and these happen randomly throughout the day, I may have an hour where it doesn't happen but then i'll get like a solid 4-5 hours of every 5 or so minutes of it.

    i have been experiencing the same problem as you and this started about a week ago.
    last night i was able to get 3 hours of play after adjusting my internet settings aswell and now im back to square one as im disconnected every time i log into my character
    i dont know what to do and this si starting to get on my nerves aswell but my friends in the game isnt experiencing the same problem as we are.
    ive tried other games and they are doing what ffxiv is doing and thats resetting my internet connection all together now.
    i have contacted support and they say there isnt any issues popping up with there servers but i dont know now
    i hope the GMs or someone sees this post so they can understand whats happening but ill contact them again

    WIFI, Though i have tried plugging into Wired and it doesn't make a difference

    -Other programs being used when running FFXIV
    None, I used to keep discord on but i figured that was drawing from resources and causing the disconnect but they still happen

    I had a similiar issue. Installing and using WTFast fixed it for me and it might work for you to.

    You mentioned that this has been happening since Heavenward, correct? Have you been using this same laptop since then? Have you been playing on more than one PC? Have you had the same internet connection since then? Have you changed anything related to that since you started having this issue?

    I have not changed computers, I always play from my same laptop since 2.3. I did start on ps4 but switched over to a laptop shortly after. As for internet connection I have not changed from Comcast, I have upgraded my speed but not changed company. I honestly cant think of any changes I've made other than the troubleshooting steps to fix this issue.

    yesterday and today over 10 disconnects

    I play on a desktop system from US- Texas, and connect (or try to) to Chaos datacenter to play with friends in England. The connection has been impossible the last 2 days. Out of total play time of 6 hours I am lucky if I stay connected for 10 minutes. When I ran WTFast to try and smooth it out, it was reporting ping times over 130ms. Yoshida cannot possibly think he can do the things he wants to do upcoming on a network that is this unstable. This issue needs to be TOP priority, and it needs to be addressed and fixed 2 months ago. It is inconceivable that SE would allow this to go on this long without a correction ...NO MATTER WHAT THE ISSUE. IT NEEDS TO GET FIXED !!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE YOSHIDA...YOU MUST FIX THIS !!!!! SHADOWBRINGERS WILL FAIL IF IT IS NOT ADDRESSED !!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE !!!
