I would gladly trade in my PS4 for a more powerful version of the Nintendo Switch that can outperform PS4 in not only framerate in both handheld and docked mode

Such a thing will not be available on the market for the next 3-4 years at the very minimum and even then it would be quite expensive. Technology just isn't there yet.

Also, censorship will not touch this game, don't worry. Sony is only censoring very specific games that have a strong "erotic" component, and ffxiv is not one of those games.

Uh huh... Western technology maybe since people are still not done upgrading their computers to the latest best system because western gamers either don't have time or money(more often than not both)... not sure about eastern technology that actually is designed for gaming...

And as for Soyny only censoring "erotic" component, glamour function would be gutted to hell and back and also Lalafells would need to be removed from the game completely because of "pedophiles" and whatever else Soyny deems "too harmful for children" when most of them are either people who don't play video games and are not parents, or people who are shitty parents and don't play video games, hell MCH would probably need to removed along with Garleans and whatever fictional deities are in the games lore, and magic, and any other religious symbols in the game... I would not be surprised if that actually happened and that would most definitely make me not want to even touch Shadowbringers or FF14 ever again...

If you are worried about censorship for any of those things you mentioned, you probably should never play an MMO or even use the internet for that matter again. The game is not that erotic unless you stumble in to an in-game role play chat, to which it's easy to remove yourself from that situation anyway, and I think the rest of the stuff you just have a strange imagination.

No idea where you got that from, never said anything about banning anyone. In the end there are potentially worse online games that may require censorship on console, and FFXIV isn't one of them, so that's it really.

Also, I won't be surprised if at some point FFXIV becomes a PC exclusive.

The amount of subs that would be lost because of the high number of console players (especially in the JP home market) would be a terrible business move. Maybe a future FF could be PC exclusive, but definitely not XIV as it stands.

Can you give some recent examples of games that have been censored by Sony and what needed to be changed to be accepted by them?

Well Dragon Quest X (popular in JP) was released on several consoles by SE to satisfy their home market, so anyway like I said I don't see an immediate switch from console at this point or any time soon. Perhaps the next generation consoles will change things, but we'll just have to wait and see.

You do realize that amd, intel and nvidia are US companies, right? There's not such a thing as "eastern technology designed for gaming". There are not semiconductor producers in the east that somehow are 10 years ahead of their american competitors and can create small chips for mobile platforms that are more powerful than the ps4 for a competitive price (and manage to meet the power consumption and heat requirements of a mobile chip).

I'm seriously starting to wonder whether you're just trolling now...
