FFXIV FOR THE NINTENDO SWITCH

I would gladly trade in my PS4 for a more powerful version of the Nintendo Switch that can outperform PS4 in not only framerate in both handheld and docked mode, but with internet connection speed as well, especially with the Soyny censorship and I have a gut feeling that Shadowbringers is going to get delayed on PS4 because of said censors...

Why would they make the effort of putting it out on such an under powered console like the switch when the PS5 and new Xbox will be coming out in a few years? and when that happens I bet the PS4 will get the axe just like the PS3 because it will be holding certain parts of the game back too...Spec wise the Nintendo switch just wont be able to keep up unless Nintendo does a huge hardware upgrade that is on par with the PS5.

Such a thing will not be available on the market for the next 3-4 years at the very minimum and even then it would be quite expensive. Technology just isn't there yet.

Also, censorship will not touch this game, don't worry. Sony is only censoring very specific games that have a strong "erotic" component, and ffxiv is not one of those games.

The Switch really isn't preforming as well as Nintendo hoped atm and we just got rid of ps3 and are dropping 32 bits finally. SE would have to either release a less beefy and downgraded version for the switch and probably switch only servers, or face tons of limitations. Not to mention bad press for porting a game that is already behind others on a technical level, onto a platform that is even further behind on a technical level.

Switch is great, I know, I have one, but seriously this is not a game that is made for that sort of niche console. If they would make a switch port they would literally be setting themselves back years. Maybe FFXIV Immortal would work on it. But not FFXIV as it is now.

Uh huh... Western technology maybe since people are still not done upgrading their computers to the latest best system because western gamers either don't have time or money(more often than not both)... not sure about eastern technology that actually is designed for gaming...

And as for Soyny only censoring "erotic" component, glamour function would be gutted to hell and back and also Lalafells would need to be removed from the game completely because of "pedophiles" and whatever else Soyny deems "too harmful for children" when most of them are either people who don't play video games and are not parents, or people who are shitty parents and don't play video games, hell MCH would probably need to removed along with Garleans and whatever fictional deities are in the games lore, and magic, and any other religious symbols in the game... I would not be surprised if that actually happened and that would most definitely make me not want to even touch Shadowbringers or FF14 ever again...

Honestly, I can't imagine XIV on the Switch aside from hardware and proper gaming control issues because the Switch/Nintendo has always been seen as the "fun, family friendly, group activity and party play" console. Nintendo has never been really known for porting or supporting MMO's and the general target audience of Nintendo products has never been marketed mainly to adults, its always been small children to young adults usually.

I also don't want a random Mario cameo to show up in XIV either and we know that's going to be part of Nintendo's terms probably that Mario gets to show up at least once. I'm sorry Nintendo, you have enough games to flaunt your mascot. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with Mario per say, but you have enough games to show off your flagship, dear god, you have Smash. If XIV suddenly has Mario show up, it really will look like a theme park MMO then. The kind that only stays a float by how many more ridiculous things we can put into XIV to gain new subs whether it makes sense or not and abusing the "they came from another dimension! It's okay!" trope a million times.
