A concern about the World Visit feature

From what it sounds like they aren't going to restrict trades between players in different servers either, which is likely going to make the RMT issues even worse.

I really don't think they considered all of the possible negative effects this feature could have and mostly looked at the few positives.

I think I was once removed from a duty. Just the one time. I simply re-queued and went on with my day.

Maybe don't be an asshole. You can't stop people from doing things like this, but if you avoid being an asshole then you're extremely likely not to encounter such a thing, even from people on your very own server.

I kind of have to agree with this. While it's possible that you just got someone intent on trolling you, in most cases they go so far because they hate you for at least a reason they perceive as legitimate. Even as someone who is a bit of a divisive figure on my DC/world, and who clashes strongly with people over gameplay ideology, I've never experienced this level of trolling. Nor have a dealt it out. I have experienced some lesser trolling, like people looking up irrelevant FFlogs to flame me in /tell or they try to start something on /shout, but that can be easily avoided or ignored via blacklisting or just turning off /shout chat (it's 99% spam anyways).

On the other hand I'm really looking forward to the legitimate side of this: passing money from my main character to my alts!

My main has more money than I'm ever likely to use, and my alts are poor non-crafters who need that gil. So it will be great if I can use marketboard sales to pass money to them, or craft items on my main account and pass them to my alts that way.

This sort of activity is also going to be a gil sink due to market taxes, and people have been calling for more gil sinks for a while.
