Guild Leves are a total pain in the ass. But in what game have you played that had featured a way to grind to the highest level that was actually enjoyable? I know sure as hell the seeing pink tuccan sam's on my screen for like 2 monthes was not enjoyable at all.

Look at it this way, be happy there are Leves. If there wasn't then everyone would be complaining about the dreaded Coblyns/Doblyns grind even more.

PS: Behest are boring as hell too. But SP is SP.

Well, in fairness, there were other places to level. Plenty of people got to 75 before Aht Urghan came out. People weren't *forced* to level on Colibris. They chose to level on them because they were the fastest/most efficient xp/hr - which is all many players seem to care about; "getting to level cap as quickly and easily as possible".

That also manifests in how players screw themselves over by leveling to 75 while sync'd down to 20, and then are left with 20, 30 or more levels worth of skillups to get by grinding away for hours more in Boyadha, etc. Basically giving themselves twice the work they'd have if they leveled up on mobs more within their level range, or at least didn't sync down that far. But, the xp/hr is all they cared about - even at the expense of not getting skillups. And so they give themselves more - arguably even more tedious - work to achieve the same end result.

Of course, the players blame SE for that, too. "SE forces us to have to grind for hours to get our skillups". No, the players force themselves to have to do that, through their own poor choices. SE has provided a perfectly good way - which was there for years before sync was even introduced - to level both your job level and your skill levels. Players have their own tunnel-vision and obsession with "maximum xp/hr at all cost" to thank for it.

So, that wasn't a failing on SE's part, but on the players' part.

I argued that forever and was always told "Nope. SE's fault for making Colibri's the fastest xp". My response: "Nope, players' fault for obsessing over xp/hr at the expense of variety or even leveling in a preferred area".

Of course, as I've noticed when I bring that point up, there's a lot of players who don't like having the truth pointed out to them and become rather hostile.. Won't be surprised if I get the same response from some here.

As the saying goes, you can lead a horse to water...
