I remember i did read the first couple leves i made... i stopped reading them.
The leves are the most generic quests i have played in all MMO.
They are so incredibly stylized and simplified,t that it feels like some antique board game.
- You have to approach glowing nodes in the area and then monsters will come running?
Sorry what?
- There is a fat dodo that morphed into a ladybug! Find the dodo!
WHAT?
- re-foster the forest, kill 4 groups of squirrels...
Come on!
- Run back and forth to kill coblyns that spawn at the exact same spot for 30 min.
They might drop some pages of a stupid book and then you get to fight a crab...
- There are some light-rays shining out of the earth, you check them out and get attack by mongrels, bombs and shit
What is it with those light markers? Its ok to have a marker on the map but do you have to wrap the whole quest around it and put a physical glowing marker in the landscape?
Yes, i do understand why we need them, but i would rather like to see real landmarks so the quest can tell me the directions relative to the landmarks so i can find them, which is absolutely impossible atm because every rock formation repeats 10 times.
Some of the quest text are not bad but the quests never resemble the text! You read something exciting but then all you have to do is to kill some stupid mob totally out of context.
Even the treasure chests are totally out of context.
the only quests i liked were the crafting guild quests because they had decent background story and some of the main story quests, BUT i only liked the dialogs/story parts because the actual quests were silly and generic, you just had to kill the same kind of mobs you kill doing the leves.

Are you serious? I didn't read your post, only the title but asking if people enjoy Guildleves is like asking people if they enjoy getting a colonoscopy.

The idea and design behind guildleves is fantastic (a central place for you and your party to gather your tasklist before you go adventuring), but they completely dropped the ball when it came to making them interesting and engaging.
The guildleve system is fantastic, the guild leves themselves need much work.

Do you enjoy colonoscopy?
We have some leves that you might like es well.
or
Users who enjoyed colonoscopy also like the following leves:

the idea may be nice but not the result. The idea and design behind guildleves is fantastic (a central place for you and your party to gather your tasklist before you go adventuring), but they completely dropped the ball when it came to making them interesting and engaging.

If the meeting points were represented by landmarks (Old spooky tree, Rusty broken trains, ruins...) it might be interesting
but having glowing nodes all over the map is as generic as it gets.
also, you get all the leves from the same spot all the time, in exact same intervals of time and a fixed number.
The whole process is repetitive and generic.
First i thought the leves would be like the jobs you get in FF Tactics but no...

If you think that Guildleves are bad, then I like colonoscopies.
