I think the issue here is the assumption that old content is just old, and any new take on it is just "A new coat of paint". That may or may not be true in regards to BLU, as we dont actually know specifically how BLU will end up interacting with Old content.

you say "may or may not be true" as if it's a 50/50 proposition like a flat-earther would say it. there's absolutely no evidence for your "may not be true".

interacting with old content is irrelevant if the old content doesn't change at all. there's no evidence that it has changed at all.
