Glam that doesnt look utter shit on a male character is hard.

Glam that looks nice on females is suuuuuuuuuper easy.

Most every glam looks better on a female vs male too, including the above mentioned iconic male character sets.

Here's Zidane's look. It is now going to look better on every female than any male character, please to be enjoy.

Telling female character players "shush the non-xiv FF male glams look fine on you anyway, be happy" is literally telling us we should be happy to settle for less. The Zidane outfit looking good on my character doesn't change the fact that there is such little representation of the non-xiv female characters.

I don't want to dress up like Zidane. I want to dress up like the female characters I love, but there's only two non-xiv female glams and most players only have access to one because the other was from a paid fanfest ticket. Meanwhile there is quite a lot of non-xiv male glams.

I grew up being forced to play mostly male characters in the games I played. Now I'm playing a female character and being told I should be happy to wear boy's clothes just because they fit nicely. Why can't I be a girl who gets to wear clothes designed for girls? I don't want to dress up like Squall. I want to dress up like Rinoa or Selphie.

And as an aside I think gender locked clothes is terrible. Let everyone wear what they want.

I would just like to see more female outfits given as rewards. As a female in real life i want the outfits from characters like Tifa, Garnet etc. I just feel a bit let down that all my veteran rewards where of Clouds, Squall and other male outfits. Now we have Balthiers...i must admit one of my fave characters but i would just like to say to the devs please can we have some female character outfits added. I know we have Yuna but more would be nice.

They've added Wind-Up Tifa. Maybe there's hope the Tifa outfit is not far behind.

You are reaching. The Yuna outfit has no leg slot. The chest and legs are rolled into one chest piece so isn't "an adaptable" glam, so that rules out that argument. The jacket and pants argument is weak...how much gear have we got in the game that is flowy and has cut outs revealing skin usable by both genders? A lot.

The problem with unisex is it usually means a male thing that society thinks is okay for females to use. Rarely the reverse. A lot of female character players aren't happy with merely men's clothes that look alright. Again; I don't want to dress up as Zidane, I want to dress up as Garnet.

Anyway that argument is flawed as well given that there is a large amount of gender locked gear obtainable in-game and from the mog-station. One of those outfits on the mog station is from a non-xiv character. SE have done it once, they can do it again.

I'm starting to think your argument boils down to "but I don't think male characters would look good in those clothes" and/or "SE won't let male characters wear them". Sorry but those are not good enough reasons to force us into mostly male clothes if we want to dress up as a non-xiv FF character.

I was referring to the veteran rewards as most have said...I think maybe they should have done male or female versions but I guess that would have been too much trouble.

Also: Can we get the Dreams of the Fayth buyable from Achievement points? I'd kill for the boots...

I think the actual issue is that the devs have little incentive to make both a male and female outfit when most players will be satisfied with just the male one. Add onto that that whenever they do add male-only outfits, a ton of female characters say, "We want to wear that too!" and the devs get the impression that it's much more effective to just make male-based gear that everyone can wear.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I agree with this mindset. In my ideal world we'd be getting Fran's outfit along with Balthier's, Garnet's outfit along with Zidane's etc, and both genders would be able to wear all of them (and nothing would ever be added to Mog Station again). Unfortunately, given the history of this game, I'm not holding out hope for it.

What does it matter what your gender in real life is, anyone with a female character should be supporting this regardless.
