I think it would be great seeing males running around in a white bare-midriff tank top, suspenders, and a tight leather skirt.
Make it so!

Thing that I've noticed since joining this game is the large number of lbgt influence. Is due to RPing or what? Always curious as other MMOs their presence isn't felt as strong as in FF14. On that note seeing people in dungeons naked or half naked really breaks the immersion for me but since it happens so often I stopped taking this game seriously. At least I'm not invested and can easily drop this game.

It's supportive in a quiet, not-in-your-face way. Like how there's a male/male Miqo'te and Hyur(?) couple in a side quest and the biggest obstacle for them to overcome for acceptance is the interracial nature of their relationship. Or how Haruchefant was the WoL's #1 fan and was interested in them no matter the gender of the player's character. Plus there are options like the Uraeus skirt, Long Plain Skirt, and most of the caster gear that allow for cross-dressing...Thing that I've noticed since joining this game is the large number of lbgt influence. I honestly would not mind seeing some iconic FF female outfits in the game. There's just SE's historical habit of locking things to women and including no male variant preventing me from being gung-ho about asking for the gear to be included. If the male gear was included without alterations the female gear should be too. Seeing as we can already have Roebros running around in metallic pink miniskirts and flowered hats there would be no truly compelling reason to modify or lock the gear but...
I could see them doing something like Tifa's outfit for women and Vincent's outfit for men. But that's double the work they'd have to do and it would have to be tied to some kind of special event or exorbitant cost on the MogStation to come into being.

Immersion dies when you see a male Roe running around in a leopard Speedo, moogle head and arms, and nothing else. I say go crazy.
I wouldn't mind seeing Tifa, Freya, or Beatrix's outfits, my only point of annoyance is that they'd inevitably end up on the Mogstation.
You know I could understand why they opted for outfits that could be unisex previously as the old Veteran system really made you sub for a long time to enjoy the benefits of the glam. I wouldn't want to sub for hundreds of days to be stuck with a female outfit I couldn't use, and vis versa for the other gender as well.
However with the changes to the system and Achievement Points now being a thing, I think it would be more acceptable to offer both male and female outfits to players seeing as this method is easier to obtain them. Definitely SE should consider adding more FF outfits as long as both genders get one at the same time if they are not unisex.
This would seem like the obvious solution, and in general, it is (especially for Mog Station items). There would be far less complaints if there was no gender locking of gear at all.
The problem is when the gear is given as a reward. If the Ranged DPS gear from Orbonne Monastery was based on Fran's outfit, a lot of male characters would freak out that they were being "forced" to dress like a girl. Or if one of the Veteran Rewards had been Rinoa's outfit instead of Squall's, male characters would complain about how they subbed for so long just to get a dress as a reward. (In a perfect world, we'd get both Squall's outfit and Rinoa's outfit [and they'd both be wearable by both genders], but that would double the dev's workload.) Heck, a lot of male characters already freak out about some designs being too feminine, such as the new Omega gear. The same simply isn't true for female characters who are "forced" to wear male gear. Most female characters don't mind wearing male clothes, and a fair amount even prefer it.
So I totally understand why the devs will likely never make female gear the default, since it would lead to a lot of ultra butthurt male characters potentially quitting the game. I don't necessarily agree with it, but I get it.
I wouldn't have specifically picked it out as LGBTxxyy behavior, myself; I would have gone with "Ah yes, this is a Final Fantasy world, it's all good." - the same as I do when I see that Roe male in the coeurl-print speedo and Moogle head (Oliver Nexus, where are you?).
The spirit of Final Fantasy, is, in part, that Lassaiz-faire, Devil-may-care attitude, a world with Magic, Magitek, and Tech, where people firing arrows and slicing with katanas fight alongside steam-powered mecha, and others wield firearms with aplomb.
As a cis/hetero person, I'd enjoy, say, a man-cat with butt cheeks that could crack walnuts, in a tight leather mini![]()

As long as the outfits are wearable by everyone, or come with a male-only equivalent of equal quality, I would love to see them add some outfits inspired by FF heroines to the game. Personally I'd prefer everything were unisex just for the sake of having the options there; I might not be terribly likely to use the High Summoner's Dress, or the maid dress for everyday glamour, but I would use the hell out of the High Summoner's Armlets, and pretty much every other part of the maid set. And players of female characters shouldn't have to put up with items arbitrarily locked just to 'even out the numbers', either. Just let everyone wear everything already.
It's been some time now since the bunny suit was unlocked, and we've heard nothing about any other unlocks, despite there being many hotly requested items for both male and female characters...I thought we were being patient and letting them work on it slowly, but I'm starting to think SE thought they could just release that one set and we'd shut up and forget about it. It's probably time to start making some noise about that again.

None of this would be an issue if they just made all gear gender neutral. Then they could release every piece of gear for everyone and not have to worry about making Male/Female glams. ESPECIALLY on rewards and Mogstation items. The fact that in order to wear half the gear means you HAVE to have an alt is just silly. I would buy every single glam set on Mogstation if I could actually wear them.

Well, there's also Lightning. I remember seeing someone on Cactuar show up to a Hunt with a Garnet glamour, though.I would just like to see more female outfits given as rewards. As a female in real life i want the outfits from characters like Tifa, Garnet etc. I just feel a bit let down that all my veteran rewards where of Clouds, Squall and other male outfits. Now we have Balthiers...i must admit one of my fave characters but i would just like to say to the devs please can we have some female character outfits added. I know we have Yuna but more would be nice.
