There are plenty of lightly armored bits of tank gear, it's not all heavy metal armors. And, given that things are mostly in line with leaks that's almost certainly a tank class.
Especially if you consider the Trust system they showed off as well, it would make sense to convert at least one of the main characters over to a tank given that it sounds like it's Squadrons but with main characters.
