There is no Leon in FF VIII the character's name is Squall Leonhart

He does go by the name "Leon" in Kingdom Hearts though. So it's understandable if some people are confused because of that.

Why is Thancred using gunblade? Did he change job from rogue?

Thancred lost his ability to use magic. Also, he spent a lot of time in the Empire as a spy.
If you connect the two together and the fact that garleans use magiteck weapons (which include gunblade as a very common weapon in the Empire), Thancred might very well have learned to use a gunblade and thought it'd fit nicely to replace his magic.

Also, don't forget that Thancred was a one-handed sword user early in 2.x, and had skills from the Gladiator. So this fighting style is not new for him.

It's Thancred, in the trailer he has infiltrated the Garlean empire hence the gunblade, i'm more interested in who or what the young girl he is protecting is, her costume is far beyond normal npc peasant gear.

I'm not offedend or anything don't worry, was quite exhausted and I may seems a bit too much aggresive on my answers and not as clear as I was thinking it was.

Hope I'm wrong and the job is actualy neat and add variety to the tank pool + I totaly forget about all the magiteck vibe they can put in to it. Quite curious of the result.

Worth remembering, even when he's a Tank class/job, Thancred doesn't dress the part. He started 2.x as a Gladiator wearing a cloth shirt.

Ranged DpS with light-armor.

Having new tank and heal is nice and all but, they need to bring something new gameplay wise, not that this will bring anything that amazing to ranged DpS. Can't even begin to understand why it is a thing at all to be honest. Looks like fanservice for edgy 12 years old.

True, BLU will be out of the main system. Don't know if he's part of the "multiple new job" for the xpac or not. and I think he'll work as a jack of all trade for solo BLU instance.

I'd say probably one on each. GUN as tank GEO as heal (pure assumption) and ??? as a DpS probably ranged cause SB brind a melee and a magic. Two job sems a bit short for "multiple job" addition.
