Is Eureka going away?

I mean, there's so many people who complain about it, but at the same time, Square Enix keeps adding stuff to it. What do you think the future will entail?

I've done Anemos a lot. Currently level 15 in it. As much as I'm not really having a blast, I honestly don't mind it. I'm willing to go through it as long as I get better gear.

I haven't even gotten to Eureka yet and I can already tell it's like my neighbors who constantly insist on revving their hot rod engine for 30 minutes late at night and wake up the rest of the block. It's annoying and it isn't going to go away.

Eureka will finish out with this Relic through 4.x and in 5.2 (most likely) we will see what they go with.

That being said, Pyros and the logos system have started to redeem Eureka a little bit, but it remains to be seen if that will be good enough or not.

Oh you poor sweet innocent Roe. Just you wait till you get to the frozen HELL Pagos. Maybe the crap RNG will be fixed by the time you get there. Doubtful though.

Hope it goes away. Since they can't make it even fun and handle lag in there. Get rid of all rng in there and fix bunny fates so ones that does it gets a bunny. Fix it where ones that show up late doesn't get a bunny over those that's been there since the start of the fate. Eureka is very bad do 12 bunny fates and never get bunny once how that make you want even play that content when need them for the relic. Eureka is plain waste of time how it is now.

It’s honestly not even that bad when you compare eureka to an actual MMO grind. A lot of people are over exaggerating. Not saying it’s perfect but good god do we need “eureka is bad.” Thread number 5 quantillion?

I mean, some people want it to go away, but diadem is still here, hanging on. The end result for Eureka will probably be an RP hotspot.

I prefer the actual MMO grind because you can get varied drops from monsters and typically as you level higher the drops get better.

Eureka's "grind" consists of AFK'ing at the base and waiting for NM's to spawn and when they spawn then shouting 'invite to NM please' and rushing to the NM then returning back to base after it has been defeated. It's boring and predictable.

There's no doubt in my mind that once 5.0 is out Eureka will become dead content.

I fear the metrics will tell them it was a success, possibly even the most successful iteration of relic grinds.

They've held on fast to the basic formula since Diadem was introduced and have been making tweaks to it for two whole expansions, culminating in what Eureka is today. There's no way they aren't going to continue to tweak the content and present it in the next expansion. They've come way too far and are far too stubborn to abandon the idea completely. However that just means we're likely to get another iteration come whatever the next expansion is called. The Eureka as we know it, like Losara said, is going to be dead content by then unless they find some way to force it to remain relevant.
