Is Eureka going away?

They've held on fast to the basic formula since Diadem was introduced and have been making tweaks to it for two whole expansions, culminating in what Eureka is today. There's no way they aren't going to continue to tweak the content and present it in the next expansion. They've come way too far and are far too stubborn to abandon the idea completely. However that just means we're likely to get another iteration come whatever the next expansion is called. The Eureka as we know it, like Losara said, is going to be dead content by then unless they find some way to force it to remain relevant.

Eureka will remain, but once 5.0 arrives, it will essentially be abandoned and gone. If you don't do it now, it will be incredibly difficult, if near impossible, to proceed in the future.

I think Eureka is mostly a testing lab for the developers to live test theories and ideas on the players to see which ideas will work, which will not and the various resistance levels players have to their ideas.

Especially if it means it gives crafters less to do. All the housing items this patch are in Pyros, leaving crafters with barely anything to make until they're given more scraps. I get that some carrots are needed but dumping /all/ the carrots into unpopular and /highly/ gated content at the expense of other content is just asking for ire. At least with PVP most of the rewards can be gotten by doing the roulette once a day, which if you're lucky and don't get Secure can end in less than ten-fifteen minutes. And even then it's never been given the lion's share of rewards in any given patch. If you haven't bothered with Eureka till now you have dozens of hours of grinding ahead of you for those items. Hell even if you kept up the grind is still several hours long.

I wasn't a fan of the crafted steps of previous relics, but I'd happily "suffer" my way through that than...the abomination we have now. So I give 110% support to crafters.

We also did something else with PvP. That's why PvP is dead. Enjoy Eureka with the tiny handful of others who stick around long-term.
